Re: 2001 sable keypad code [moerod]

Moe, I had the same problem with my '01 Premium Wagon. Check out the answer I got: >>I have a 2001 Sable LS Premium Wagon, and the owners manual had the wrong keycode in it. I lost count of how many times I looked under the dash for the code. I gave up looking a couple of months ago. I found a post yesterday, and I now have the correct code!! THANKS rprice!! (the code sticker for the wagon is on the "passenger side" of the fuseblock, under the dash, just to the left of the brake pedal. The sticker is affixed to the back of the block, and must be folded over to read the code. It has the five digit code, with the word "keycode" on it)<<

Rear speakers...
by atucker on Wed Aug 18 05:44:11 PDT 2004
I just noticed this morning that one of the rear speakers in my Sable Wagon isn't working. (not that they are great sounding in the first place!) I don't know how long it's been out, because it's not noticable with all the controls in the "middle" positions. Anyway, I think I will try to take the rear hatch panels off, or at least loosen them to check the speaker connection. Are the two small bolts on the rear hatch (inside) handle the ones that hold the panels on? I tried to loosen one of the plastic "screws" on the panel around the window, and it just spins... Thanks in advance! AT

Thanks...I've looked behind the glove box, and needless to say, I see lots of wires and boxes, but I don't know what exactly I'm looking for. I even used a mirror in the hard to reach places (aren't they ALL hard to reach?), and can't find a five digit number... AT
