i don't really like advertising for dealers (the first thing i did was come home and take the dealer license plate frame off, haha!) but it was bill page in falls church. i got a call the morning after the purchase from another dealer out in alexandria i visited saying they would try to give me the car for 22,500 otd but too bad, it was too late.
Picked up another 2008 TL w/nav this time in N.VA.

Was visiting my cousin the is past Wednesday and told her what a great deal I had received in Miami, for my mother in-law. She wanted the same car, but wanted to purchase it locally. E-Mailed Rosenthal in Rockville, Pohanka in Chantilly, and Radley in Falls Church. Pohanka and Rosenthal responded immediately. Went to Pohanka for a test drive for her, and received best price from Rosenthal over the phone. Met with GSM at Pohnaka after phone call and agred on a 2008 TL w/nav carbon Bronze with ebony for $29,900 including the $399.00 processing fee. They had to locate the car, and she took delivery last night. Car had 12 miles on it when delivered. I must say the sales woman and GSM at Pohanka had to be some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with at a Dealership. No pressure, and straight talk.
My 2008 Azera Mileage
by dcrobbie22041 on Sat Sep 20 21:36:34 PDT 2008
I live in the Washington DC area and have owned my car since July of this year. I average around 16 mpg in the day-to-day stop and go traffic around the suburbs. However, when I get on the highway or open road it goes way up! Two weeks after I bought it, I took a road trip to Tilghman Island, MD. Reset the MPG calculator there and started driving back to Alexandria, VA. On the two lane, open road from Tilghman to Easton, MD, I averaged 30 mpg. Filled up with cheap gas in Easton, MD and drove home. Made it back to DC and then home with an average of about 28 mpg, which is what Hyundai claims the car does. Have had the same/better performance now that the car is broken in. During weeks when I'm doing 50+ percent highway driving, I'm getting about 22 mpg overall. Of course, this varies on whether I'm having a lead-footed day or not; a sprint from Falls Church to Herndon in less than 15 minutes on the Dulles Toll Road does not contribute to good mileage (but was a hellava lot of fun)! Hope this helps. Overall, my Azera gets about the same mileage as the 2001 XG300 I traded in for it, despite the larger engine and heavier car.

As juice said, almost everyone falls into the severe service unless you are a little old lady who drives her STi to church on Sunday (and believe it or not I've actually seen this). As for the poster, and the voiding of warranty, that is the same across the board with any and all manufacturers. With that said, I've run my LGT wagon at Pocono Raceway and Watkins Glen with no issues :) -mike
Mazda 5 vs. Subaru Forester 09
by prndldriver on Tue Jun 17 13:23:30 PDT 2008
The new Forester 09 finally has all the safety features I was looking for and a better design than the clunky square look. I was justgetting down to figuring out good pricing and realizing I was going to have to drive up to Chicago to get a decent price. Then I saw a Mazda 5 in the church parking lot and talked very briefly to the owners. Originally I had thought it was the Mazda CX-9, but realized it was smaller. While lots of auto writers are falling over backward with praise on the CX-9, the fact that it uses premium gas turned me off. Still the reviews intrigued me. So I have now been researching the Mazda 5 and have been pleasantly surprised. The lack of DSC sort of bothers me. The Forester has AWD and a higher ground clearance. These both are appealing when driving in Midwestern snowstorms. So, how does the Mazda 5 drive in snow? How much smaller does it feel in interior sitting room than a Honda CR-V or similarly a Forester 09? (I think there's more cargo space in the 5, but smaller sitting space.) Does it bother anyone that these cars are so limited in sales it could be hard to get them repaired beyond the dealer? Or, is it possible to go to a Ford dealer as well? How much pep does the engine actually have? It smaller than the CR-V and I thought that lacked much stamina. That's why I was attracted, for awhile, to the Mitsubishi Outlander, but could not get a decent deal on that and some in the family thought it was cheaply made and had too many gadgets. Also, we're not a highly technical family and one of the appeals is that Subarus are reliable. We've had one for 15 years and are almost at 200,000 miles. The 5 is too new for long term reliability numbers, but what's been your experience? I'm partially asking these questions because I am going to have to drive at least 50 miles just to test drive this thing (or hope that that family is back in church on Sunday...). Thanks for any help. I've found reading this forum interesting
