I just had sold traded my ML 350 2007 for $29,000. The price that you are getting sounds fair esp. if it is certified. Maybe you can push him to an even $32,000. But I think that you are getting a decend deal. How much is the tax on top of that?

I have an '08 Tribeca with the same problems that were evident the first day I drove it. Here is what I had sent my dealer & Subaru after months of trying to get he problem addressed: "> I have had my 08 Subaru Tribeca for about four(4) months and I am very > disappointed in the way it runs and equally disappointed in the response > that I have gotten from Kerven and the District Fixed Operations Manager > (Jim Hoffman). The vehicle hesitates, "surges" and overall does not run > well during highway driving. From a stop it will sometimes hesitate and > other times "surge" forward when the accelerator is depressed and this is > a safety issue especially in a parking lot or other tight driving > situations. When driving on the highway (60-70mph) the vehicle "shudders" > and hesitates/surges when trying to accelerate or maintain speed on an > incline. This is very noticeable and happens every time I drive it. This > is not how a new vehicle is supposed to operate. The first time I had it > to Kerven they told me the tires were out of balance. The second time > they said they recreated the problem but there was nothing they could do > about it and I was referred to Mr. Hoffman. He took > the vehicle for a test drive and said that it is an engineering problem > and that there is nothing he can do. Not only is this NOT how a new > vehicle should run, there is also a safety issue involved here. If the > vehicle cannot be fixed then I would like to return it for a refund. I am > even willing to pay a fair and reasonable amount for the miles I have put > on this vehicle. Please let me know how you plan to fix this problem. > Thank you." I still do not have any resolution but I did manage to get an extended warranty and a 45,000 mile maintenance agreement.

It does make you wonder, doesn't it? I think the dealers have a big part here - if you have a problem - even more than one - but the dealer is able to fix it promptly and accurately then it's forgotten. But if the dealer tries to fix it multiple times and fails (or worse, causes more problems) then it all gets blamed on Ford, which isn't fair. It's too bad that Ford doesn't have more control over it's dealer network.

i disagree with you iluvmysephia1, people have told me that they like their truck.., some people need a truck.., some just have a truck but don't really need it.., the extra torque in a truck is necessary for a number of occassions.., and the Big 3 are moving forward, there are still plans in the making for green with the Big 3..., The foreigners dont' have to build the big trucks for us(or any of them), the fact is we don't need the foreigners building any of them for us.., free trade is not necessarily fair trade, The chinese surplus is over $259 billion and only growing.., With the banks getting bailed out(and that number is well past a few $$$trillion, some say getting close to $9trillion or more) the Big 3 should get a $100 billion rescue loan that gets paid back with interest.., if you are into green that bad(and i am not saying it is bad) then you should try puting more green into the average homes that create pollution also.., okay, if you like cars more then maybe you should start working on the 'Car Tires' and i have just the link for you --> link title and let the foreigners build cameras or maybe you can try selling the foreigners to the u.s. military. :)

What's traffic like? Are you buying this to drive or to race? If you're buying to drive and have a fair amount of traffic, you'll be happier with auto. Remember there's a manu-matic sort of thing so you can shift the gears for yourself if you want, even with an auto. Honestly shifting with a manual is a lot of fun on twisty country roads where there's little or no traffic. It gets old fast if you're in a major urban area with a lot of stop and go driving. With the automatic, you get basically the best of both worlds - or at least 90% of the best, since it's not quite like a true manual.

Hey Take, and all others! I will be shopping in Portland, OR Really? 17.5 for an 09 EX with manual? That is exactly what I am shopping for. Local Dealer has sent me an opening price of 19.1 + DMV fee's, and that is with my "fabulos" discount I get offered thru an incentive firm I deal with. Can someone please tell me what the real dealer invoice is on an 09 Civic EX, 2-door, with manual trans? And what is a "fair" profit to add to that? Three percent? And does anyone know what new incentives that Honda is going to make effective on DEC 1st? Also, does anyone know what incentives the dealer gets for selling a car, so I can make that part of my offer? And thx for all the other info, I have learned a lot already. TY!
