Here's some back and forth between me and the local Honda a/t Guru in Draper Utah... HI Larry Loved this article on the Honda TCC.... http://www.sonnax.com/titles/overheated-honda-converters740-codes.print Sure has been a lot of head scratching and back engineering on these Honda a/t's..wish it was Honda doing it..I see they are now facing another Class Action lawsuit on the newer Odysseys a/t's... Just when they finally get it figured out they will probably change the whole a/t design again and once more use us Van Owners as R&D guinea pigs. This overlap condition is exacerbated by a lot of in-town driving where upshifts and downshifts into 3rd gear happen a lot. Most notably in the stereotypical Soccer Mom's kid bus. We rarely see 3rd gear clutch failure in Hondas that are primarily freeway driven; because they don't do a lot of shifing in and out of 3rd gear. > > The patented pressure regulator valve mentioned in the report retails for only $210 bucks. A cheaper, but more difficult to install, product that addresses the same issues is made by TransGo that I E-mailed you a while back. > > Let the Honda buffs and DIY'ers know what's up. > > I'll Keep You Posted, > J. My week in Philadelphia by lilbluewgn02 on Wed Oct 26 19:49:22 PDT 2011

I flew up to Philadelphia last week and it was wonderful, the main purpose being my nephew's wedding. Arrived Wednesday evening, got to Michael's house, and then we went to see North Mississippi Allstars at a small club there. Got to talk to the band (my 4th time seeing them), some photos, some autographs, and a great concert. Thursday, went LP shopping at Repo Records and Philadelphia Record Exchange; got some albums in both places. Friday was dinner at my brother's temple in Princeton Junction for the family and friends of the bride(she is also the assistant rabbi there) and my nephew. Saturday, a dinner in Philadelphia at a restaurant named Supper, on South St. Sunday was the wedding, absolutely beautiful, held at the Inn on the Lake in Perkasie, PA. It was great to see my nephew get married, and his wife is incredible. I also did a little shopping on Friday and Saturday and bought this It's a 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 with 52,000 miles. It only took me 49 years to buy one; it's been one of my dreams since i was 12. Some photos of Michael and I With his friend Rachel Ready to take on Don Draper!

Ossining? Isn't that where the infamous Sing-Sing prison is located? Anyway, I recall the episode of "Mad Men" where Don Draper wrecked his Dodge and replaced it with a new 1962 Cadillac.

Does anyone know what city the picture is representing? Maybe that explains why the cars are the American Motors and Kaiser (Henry J) cars Don Draper, the principal character of Mad Men, is a resident of Ossining, a Westchester County suburb of New York. I would say that the photo is not a true representation of the automobile fleet in an affluent NY suburb c. 1960, like the one I grew up in. Statistically there ought to be more Big Three cars and perhaps a Triumph or Porsche as these were certainly becoming popular among the ad men and Wall Street types who populated those towns at the time.
