Wow! you really scored! I was feeling pretty good till I read your post! I just bought ther same car, but my sticker was $28,400 not sure why. Paid $23,500 (no loyalty as I am a hyundai virgin) Another dealer had the same car in silver blue and was giving it to me for an even 23K, but i don;t like the silver blue.

To me it's nearly the same deal. It's got almost 1K on the speedo. Those miles are worth money, that is, a deduction. Some guys planned to stash these cars with 12 miles on them, so the owner has devalued the car somewhat. Maybe not $10K, but definitely it's not a virgin anymore. Still no bargain. I bet we'll see more 1K 500s soon enough in the marketplace, and there may be already. Haven't looked. When the economy tanks, the first thing on the selling block is the "toys".

More flawed data: much of the diesel used in the U.S. is refined in Europe And what credible source does that false information come from. We do get a lot of refined gas from the EU. Not diesel from any source I can find. Most diesel fuel consumed in the United States is produced in U.S. refineries. In 2007, about 4.5 percent was imported from foreign countries, mainly Canada, and the Virgin Islands. http://www.eia.doe.gov/bookshelf/brochures/diesel/ Which means that the OIL COMPANIES are in control of the price of refining diesel. Why did the price go up in the last couple years?

This is the confirmed info that I got and I want share with you guys. If you get the car over 2000 below invoice, the service department will spit in your oil in your oil change. If you get your car between 1000 and 2000 below invoice, the service department will use old used oil in oil change If you get your car between 0 to 1000 below invoice, the service depratment will not check your tires' pressure If you get your car over invoice price, the service department will use high quality extra virgin olive oil in your oil change.
Interesting Facts on Diesel

I thought you all might find this fact sheet on diesel fuel interesting. I did: DIESEL FUEL FACT SHEET I had no idea, for instance, that very very little diesel fuel is imported into the US. We make most of it here. What little we get comes from Canada and the Virgin Islands?? Of course, we make it from a certain amount of imported oil.
My First Car

I'm 22 and I drove a 1999 corolla for almost 6 years. The car was slow and ugly, but it was also reliable and fuel efficient. I wanted a brand new car but now looking back I realize how great my old Corolla was. I had an accident at 18 and learned my first important lesson driving. From that point on I was much more careful driving and became a much smarter driver. I learned so much while paying a relatively small amount. That's why these days when I see high schoolers drive benzs and beemers I just cant help but shake my head. I know obviously their family can afford a car like that but handing the keys to a $30k+ car that is also probably 200hp+ to a road virgin is just not a smart idea. It is dangerous to their 16 year old kid who WILL try to show off and do extremely stupid stunts while driving AND it is dangerous to other drivers on the road who may be a casualty of a teenage driver. A first car should be something easy to drive and CHEAP because 99% of the time it will be involved in some sort of incident. Once your kid has shown you that he/she can drive responsibly then you should get them whatever your able to. Recently I just bought a new 08 G35 and I love it. But whenever I drive my new car I'm thankful for all the lessons I learned in my old Corolla. Just my .02 Nick
