"I don't remember what happened but woke in someones car out in suburbs somewhere. I had to walk 3.5 hours to the train station to get me back to Chicago. I had enough money to to take the train but had to have someone wire me money back from Boston " Gp I hope you have joined the Friends of Bill W. They will keep you sober and it's free! This should be their anthem: Joe Walsh, One day at a time. Well you know, I was always the first to arrive at the party, ooh! And the last to leave the scene of the crime Well it started with a couple of beers, And it went i dont know how many years, Like a runaway train headed for the end of the line. Well I finally got around to admit that I might have a problem. But I thought it was just too damn big of a mountain to climb. Well I got down on my knees and said 'Hey!' (la la la) 'I just cant go on livin' this way!' (la la la) Guess I have to learn to live my life one day at a time. Oh ya! One day at a time! Oh ya! One day at a time! Oh ya! One day at a time! Oh ya! One day at a time! Well I finally got around to admit that I was a problem. When I used to put the blame on everybody's shoulders but mine. All the friends I used to run with are gone, (la la la) Lord, I had'nt planned on livin this long. (la la la) I have to learn to live my life one day at a time! It was something it was too blind to see, I got help from something greater than me.. And I have to learn to live my life one day at a time! Lyrics by Joe Walsh played in a solo album and also with the Eagles in their farewell tour in Melbourne Australia. Look for the DVD this song alone is worth the price of the 2 disc set. Look for it at wally world. I picked my up for $11.00 It's an incredible concert. The quality of the sound and video is without par. :) Mack
Prius Snow Tire Experience
by snowboarder4 on Sat Apr 05 03:40:54 PDT 2008
During late winter, I bought my 2007 Prius with standard-issue tires. I have not experienced any slippage issues in snow, slush, or ice. However, I am concerned about next winter, since I live in the mountains and must climb 5% grades in snowstorms. Please share any experiences with winter driving conditions. I have researched winter and all-season tires, without any conclusions. Goodyear Assurance sounds like a good all-season tire. Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip sounds good in a softer H-rated tire. How much of a snow tire will I need?

I pull a 34ft. Jayco Eagle bumper pull 9500# loaded weight 1125# tongue wt. It does a good job even in mountains.I have a 2007 4-wheel drive off road.very strong truck. I get 19 to 19.4 miles per gal not loaded on interstste driving to conserve fuel. Lots of people must drive like they are racing.that their mileage is bad.
Re: Tire/Steering Problem

I have Goodyear Eagle RSA's on my M35x '06 car. I have decreased the tire pressure to about 35 lbs.......took it to the mountains again this weekend and it still is "swaying". Are you all saying that its this brand of tires that is the culprit. Did someone say they got their car replaced with all Michelin tires at no charge by Infiniti?
No Vehicle is Perfect But Resale Value is Better for Japenese Autos

In response to everyone that talks about the quality of Toyotas. I bought a new 2001 Cadillac Seville Sls a $45,000 car kept it 3 years had four inches of water get in it because the body wasn't sealed , had a wheel bearing go out,had instrument cluster replaced, had computer problems, had seat heaters go bad,the car was 3 years old looked great had 65000 miles on it could only get $10,500 trade in. Replaced it with a Nissan 2005 Pathfinder has been a great car no problems bought a new 2004 chevrolet Z71 had nothing but problems had rear end put replaced , had transmiision problems, Had instrument cluster problems, had drive shaft problems, had steering column problems, got rid of truck at 30,000 miles because I was gun shy of it, bought a new Toyota Tundra problems had that I don't like the bed shakes and vibration and I was told by Toyota dealer that Toyota was supposed to come out with a bulletin to fix problem the Toyota does have good performance I pulled a 9500lb. 34ft Jayco Eagle camper in the Ozark Mountains and it did as good of job as aDodge Diesel that I had before I bought The Chevrolet anyone can go to chevrolet, ford and dodge forums and they are having lots of problems too, But I believe the japenese automobiles have a better resale value than the big 3

I don't blame you for keeping the AMC Eagle. It was the original X-over vehicle. Whenever I have gone to a town in the mountains (like Big Bear, or Lake Arrowhead) you still see them. It is probably one of the few AMC vehicles that are actually coveted other than their muscle cars of the late 60,s early 70's. The craze for the Gremlin when "Wayne's World" came out was just a short lived fad.
