Re: Choices... [lemko]

Considering you didn't see the show, you managed to come very close to the car Don Draper bought. His might've been a slighly lighter shade of blue and it did have the white top. I might add that's a very nice photo of it. I liked all of the '62 GMs, in fact I might buy a '62 Electra convertible with the Wildcat 401 over any any of the others. I dunno why Don Draper didn't get a convertible, it's just the thing for an egotistical , extroverted Ad Guy. Andre, good point about the '63 GP being better looking than the '62, here's a photo just because I like to look at it.> [PS- Anybody got a good photo of a '62 Buick full-sized convertible, they're hard to come by.]

Car was in stock but you can order it if they don't have what you want. IIRC you have to place your order with the dealer before December 31st. Costco first no exceptions. Costco had build prices at the website, but dealer adds Tax Title License. Leased to get extra cash but will convert to purchase. This is for real go to costco then go to the dealer they refer you too. Ours: Ken Garff Volvo South Town Mitch Cameron He's located in Draper Utah 500 cash card comes from costco after you complete purchase and then fill out survey. Good luck everybody!
Would you notice a dead man at a service station?

Body overlooked for 10 hours at busy Sandy service station By Erin Alberty The Salt Lake Tribune Article Last Updated: 08/29/2007 11:36:16 AM MDT Posted: 11:38 AM- Police are investigating the death of a Draper man whose body sat in a car parked next to a gas pump at a busy Sandy service station for almost 10 hours before he was noticed. The 28-year-old was found in his Lexus just after midnight Sunday by staff at the Tesoro station at 151 W. 10600 South, Sgt. Victor Quezada said. Surveillance tape shows he arrived about 2 p.m. Saturday. The station was open for business the entire time. Police have found no evidence of foul play and are investigating the death as a suicide unless the autopsy indicates otherwise, Quezada said. "What does concern us is the amount of time it took to discover this person," Quezada said. "I don't want to chew out the public, but it makes me scratch my head how people can get gas next to him, see someone slumped over and not call the police and say anything. It's a two-second phone call." Quezada described the Tesoro as a "very popular gas station," positioned close to Interstate 15. He did not know how many patrons may have passed the Lexus before an attendant called police. http://www.sltrib.com/news/ci_6750249

Its true...this car was certainly worth the hassle!

Been without my computer for 3 weeks (electrical storm fried it), so glad I can finally read the posts here again. We've had our '05 GT for about a month now, after much hassle with local dealers and nearly giving up (see previous posts). We live in West Michigan, I took another posters' excellent advice and checked the Tampa/Orlando area for the car. Found one in Plant City Florida, a GT Deluxe, automatic, crimson leather, Shaker 500, Mineral Gray. By the way, Charles Draper of Jarrett Ford in Plant City is a great guy to do business with. We originally wanted white, but could not locate one so we settled for our second color choice...so glad we did! The mineral gray is a great color. In comparison the white looks very plain to me. The fantastic style of the car plus the color sure make it a headturner! Everywhere we go people are checking out the car and asking us what the color is called. The words we hear most often are "beautiful" and "sweeeeet". I've never owned a car that is so much fun to drive. My husband and I bolt for the keys to be the one who gets to drive...I'm lovin' it!! We bought ours brand new, built in June. We haven't had any problems that I've seen posted here about the earlier built GTs. I love to hear the rumble of the exhaust and the speed and power this car has. Now I understand what everyone was talking about... I even get why people give their cars names. They definitely seem to have personality! One last note, our local dealer that we tried to order an '05 from earlier this spring, and got such a run-around from, called and left a message on our answering machine yesterday saying they just got a white '06 GT in and he would give us first choice on it. Hmmmm....think I'll drive by the dealership on Monday just to say "No thanks, we found our dream car and an honest salesperson that didn't treat us like morons"! I can only repeat what so many have said in this forum, this car is most definitely worth the wait....you won't be sorry!! ;)
saty - 60K Service
by emiura on Tue Apr 22 18:32:44 PDT 2003
I went to a independent shop, not a dealer. The 30K service was about $260 at the same shop, but that price included $50 discount. I'm happy with this shop. One of the Isuzu dealer in my area discontinued Isuzu recently. The other dealer still sell and service Isuzu vehicles, but they let all Isuzu techs go as they are mainly selling Hyundai now. Now my warranty is almost over, I probably won't need dealer service any more. Are you in SLC? I remember seeing Isuzu dealer by Hwy 15 in Draper or Lehi?
