The Honda dealer in Lewiston ID sells thiers for MSRP - no questions asked. They pointed out to me that the difference between MSRP and invoice is pretty small on the Hondas already, so they just have a no-haggle policy at MSRP. My 09 Blackberry Fit Sport AT VSA/NAV is in the pipeline...

I was wondering what they charged you as I will be hopfully be transporting a 2003 mustang from California to buffalo as well? How long did they take to get the car to Buffalo? Did you have the seller fedex the title or did you have it sent with the car? Also is anyonw aware of the "Bond shed" in mississauga? I spoke to a few transport companies who said they would clear u.s Customs and have the car brought to the bond shed in Mississauga for customs clearance there. Is this the same as what would happen at say the queenston/lewiston bridge? I provide them with title, bill of sale, recall clearance letter, pay for RIV fee etc?? Any help here is appreciated?

Thanks for the suggestion, Sloan55. I called Online Auto and arranged for my vehicle to be transported. Although they charge about $100 more than the hauler that I had originally booked, the appeal of a holding yard was definitely a factor in changing the booking. This is another example of the benefits of this discussion board!

What did you get quoted to have it shipped from Florida up to Buffalo? There is a good company just outside of Buffalo called Online Auto Connection, you might want to give them a call. They have a holding yard and can tell you what day the vehicle will be there so that you can pick it right up from them and inspect it. 716-675-0424. They are pretty reasonably priced as well.
Meeting Point at Queenston/Lewiston Bridge
by acurapm on Tue Apr 22 10:05:35 PDT 2008
I'm having an unplated vehicle that I recently purchased, hauled from Florida to the Canadian border. I want to meet the hauler as close to the Queenston/Lewiston bridge-crossing as possible. Since the transport company can't give me a definite time of arrival/meeting, I'm in a bit of a quandary as to where to meet etc. (I will be driving from Florida too, but not at the same time as the hauler since he will be making a number of stops along the route). Most transport companies want to deliver door-to-door, but if I have them deliver the vehicle to my home in the Toronto area, it will cost me an extra $800 to $900, so I'd like to avoid the expense of having them transport across the border. So...my question is, does anyone know of a convenient spot where I can meet the transporter that is close to the Queenston/Lewiston bridge?

Massachusetts does not issue temp permit. If you pay the balance when you pick up the vehicle, the dealer will not FedEx you the Certificate of Origin before then. You should request them to see if they can fax the COO 72 hours before border crossing. Some borders (e.g. Lewiston/Queenston) will accept fax. Email us if you have more questions.
