"1.9% for 36 months." I was at a Honda dealer in Lubbock, Texas looking at cars on Saturday. The salesman told me Honda had just announced new rates that day. I called my dealer in Austin and asked him if it was true and he confirmed it.

OUCH, sorry I didn't find this blog before I bought my used F450 from Texas Direct Auto last month. It actually left us stranded in Flagstaff, AZ for two days because of a EGT sensor on the drive home. We also had a problem in Lubbock, TX but was able to drive on. (fuel starvation) After we got the truck home to Northern California I emailed the first owner and he reponded with all the problems he had. Of the 14 months the truck spent 7 months in the shop. Replaced the turbo's, high pressure pumps, wireing harnesses, oil pump. It's headed for the dealership tomarrow for a check-up. My big problem is with CarFax and AutoCheck. Both were checked and neither showed any problems only routine maintenance. Does anyone have information on Car Fax or AutoCheck. There may be some legal action toward Ford if Ford is not reporting repairs. I smell coverup> Cal in NorCal.
BMW 335i convertible for 2 grand under invoice!!!
by babydoctor77 on Wed Aug 20 16:29:05 PDT 2008
I recently bought a new built to order BMW 335i convertible for 2,000 under invoice. I bought it from Alderson Motors in Lubbock, Texas. It was really easy to bargain with him.....nice guy and very cooperative. Once again, I special ordered it so I was able to get whatever I wanted without compromising colors/options etc. He has a lot of people ordering from out of state from him too....which I presume is because of the price! I've never seen BMWs or Benz at 2 grand under invoice!!! PM me with any questions. Good luck!
does anyone know about the dealer in Dallas selling 2008 Wolfsburg
by yuanr on Wed Jul 23 18:29:13 PDT 2008
There is only one VW dealer here in Lubbock and they never replies to email asking for quotes, they don't have the specific car i want either. Now I wanna get one in Dallas. Does anyone have any idea about the dealers selling 2008 wolfsburge in Dallas? Or any experience on that? Thank you very much! :)

You are so not the only one - here in New Mexico, there is only 1 yes 1 dealership and they are horrible. From the salesman to the owner to the mechanics, they all leave little to be desired. They don't even know the product they are selling, I knew more about the car I wanted and test drove than he did. I ended up driving 640 miles round trip to Lubbock to get mine........good luck!
2001 Honda CR-V Compressor Explodes
by sonny2008 on Sat Jul 12 18:14:23 PDT 2008
I have bought a honda 2001 cr-v a week ago from Mears Mazda & Volvo in Lubbock, TX. The car was looking OK, they told me that I will need $200 to repair its wheel alignment and rotors. Well, it took $400 2 days ago.. And today, while running errands in a hot texas day, the A/C started to make noises, and blow warmer air. I began to use it sparingly, yet checking it from time to time. Then, at one point I turned it on, and "boom!", someting exploded in the engine compartment. I immediately pulled over, and saw large pieces of metal under the hood, with greenish liquid all over. I soon dicovered that HALF of the Compressor was gone! I am suspecting that it damaged some other parts, since that green liquid looked and smelled like coolant.. What else could this be? I called the dealer, and they tried to hide behind "AS IS" document they had made me sign. I have not even received a new title and plates, so was hoping that being this new, the dealer may still help me. Would they? Is there any state or federal law you know of that may cover me in this situation? I will call Honda, but this car is 2001 and has 102K miles on it, so I am not very optimistic.. Any additional advise will be appreciated. Thanks.
