Sorry, don't know about Houston. The prices I found in Austin for a 2008 Odyssey EX-L were: Howdy Honda: $27,336 (OTD $29,279) First Texas Honda: $27,600 Cleo Bay Honda (Killeen): $27,600 Gilman Honda (San Antonio): $27,390 Round Rock Honda: $27,000 (OTD $28,915)

Yes. $27,200 was for a cash purchase. It would be $28,200 if you used the Honda financing. Checked all three dealerships in Austin and the one in Killeen and couldn't find a better offer.

There are a lot of posts on this whistling topic if you look back. It's too bad the dealerships can't do five minutes of research- the information should be available to them through Dodge by now. If they can't find the info, have them call Dodge Country in Killeen, Texas and ask Kent how to fix it. It is the windshield.

Well, I got a reply from an actual person. They have no indication of this problem so said to take the van in to one of their service departments to have it taken care of! I wrote back, told them I had already had the van in more than once but that when the service people are unable to duplicate the problem they can't fix it. So I gave them step-by-step instructions on how to go in to Edmunds.com and look at these discussions and I BEGGED them to do so. Told them about Kent at Dodge Country in Killeen, TX and that he supposedly had found and fixed the problem and that now the many of us with BRAND NEW vans with this problem need Chrysler to get the word out to all of their service people so that we can get this taken care of! So, everyone, go in to Chrysler.com, click on "owners" and do the whole contact us thing. We can get them to get the solution out there so that we can take our vans in ONE MORE TIME and get this whistle taken care of. Go team!

Kent from Dodge Country (Killeen, Texas) did a fine job. We completed our second trip, 6 hour drive west, 4 hour drive east, 2 hour drive north, in temps. over 95 degrees and a variety of wind conditions. I am very happy to report that the whistle has not returned. I hope this is a long-term fix, but I'm so relieved that I don't really care! I will be driving to Colorado in August- if the whistle returns I will post. But I am certainly not expecting to hear it again. I hope everyone gets their whistle taken care of. It CAN be fixed and no one should have to suffer that way. Who ever heard of a new car causing such a dreadful driving experience?!?!!

If you don't want to drive all the way to Dodge Country in Killeen with the whistle, you can try the duct tape trick- tape along the vertical lines from top to bottom of the windshield where the glass meets the molding and the molding meets the metal body of the car. The whistle is created as air flows across or up along the molding. The tape gave us much needed relief during a 4-hour trip. We only had the tape on for one day, so we did not have much residue when we removed it.
