...when I think of a '70s Corvette, I automatically think of Dirk Diggler's orange 1977 Corvette from "Boogie Nights" and how lame it was compared to earlier 'Vettes. Would've Scotty's (Phillip Seymour Hoffman's character) 1979 Datsun 280Z finished in the same color actually have been a better sports car?

Wintry blast cools global warming fervour So much for global warming. Earth Day festivities went ahead despite the blast of frigid weather yesterday. Vendors and presenters from various eco-friendly groups, including Bullfrog Power, CO2 Reduction Edmonton and the local solar energy society, crammed into a lone tent in Hawrelak Park after a blizzard forced them to abandon their original locations. Organizers crammed over 40 groups in a space that would normally be occupied by half that number. Presenters' booths were initially planned to have been spread out between at least five tents, with far larger displays. http://www.edmontonsun.com/News/Edmonton/2008/04/21/5343616-sun.html Winter weather sets several records Vancouver Sun Published: Monday, April 21, 2008 All that April snow this weekend was more than surprising -- it was also record-setting. The flakes that fell across the Vancouver region Friday night and Saturday represent the latest snowfall ever on record. At its peak, the storm dumped 2.5 cm of snow at the Vancouver International Airport, with 8 cm at Lynn Valley and 30 cm at Mount Seymour. Vancouver Island recorded 6.4 cm of snow at Victoria International Airport by 11 a.m. Saturday -- more than any on an April day since 1940. But the big record dump came in Nanaimo, where the city hadn't seen measurable snow on April 19 since 1947. As of 11 a.m., 24 cm covered the ground at the airport.

I just called a local Honda here. They said it was a contract thing with a sub dvd place. Do they say the brand on the unit? He said I may have to contact the company myself. I talked to my hubby and he insist I get headrest ones... not an overhead... Men ;)

marig I would be VERY interested is seeing what your DVD headrests look like. I want a DVD in my silver CRV. I have been looking for an overhead but I will either loss the use of the rearview mirror or my kids wills watch a tiny screen... Are you able to post some pics? If not please send them to my g-mail at alisharrose@gmail.com Thank you so much!! I was also wondering on how the headrest is affected? Did you switch them out or add the dvd to the new funky design?

I also have a 07 CR-V EX-L and NAV. I however do not have DVD. What accessory is this? I haven't seen it for sale anywhere or offered as an accessory at purchase. :confuse: Have you used this feature or is this what the dealer told you?

These are little stations from a Seymour, Indiana, company that are spattered around. I suspect they may be connected to a few other off brands. The stations are postage stamp size lots. The 2 or 3 double-sided pumps are one for self serve. The other one or two are next to the little building. The attendant is outside; the building is locked I believe. The attendants turn on the pumps. They pump the gas for you at the "we pump" and charge 2-3 cents per gallon more at those pumps. They don't do windows. I believe they check oil so they can sell quarts. The attendants have a box for selling cigarettes out of also--I don't buy so I don't pay much attention. They are a station in the "poorer" parts of towns and cater accordingly. Their motto is "The workingman's friend." As for gas quality I have only what I've been told through the years. It may all come from a pipeline but there are differences in quality and blend appropriateness for the climate at the time. The additives vary, the timeliness of blend, the quality vary in my opinion. This company doesn't have the reputation for having the proper blend for each change of season and one person's comment was they buy odd lots. The auditor's office has wanted to test gas sold in our county for more than a decade. The Columbus county auditor does testing, even state law doesn't expressly address doing it. This was an issue in the recent election in this county for a change of auditor. Although I have an ability to understand the topic of gasoline blends, additives, and marketing, I don't have proof other than people's (office holders) having told me on the phone and in public television interviews (and radio) that Ohio doesn't test and we get some of the problem batches sold here. Please don't anyone respond that I have to "prove" any of this. Happy Thanksgiving.
