antifreeze flush
by beyond_help on Fri Feb 02 08:51:29 PST 2007
it came upon the two year mark for our sorento (a very bumpy road so to speak) so i drove to the closest Kia dealer, Alexander Kia in Williamsport Pa. 99.9 miles away, but only 4 traffic lights and 3 stop signs, LOL ! the antifreeze flush and fill was $29.98 labor (1/2 labor $60 hour rate) and $11.76 for antifreeze (the green stuff) plus tax they also fixed the center dome light problem (diode problem) warrenty while i was there i also purchased some extra engine oil filters and drain plug gasgets (real Kia ones) about the drain plug gasgets the "MORONS" at Burlington Kia in N.j. sold me after marked drain plug gasgets that were crap poorly made and kept leaking DON'T ever go there or you will be sorry !! total time at the Alaxander Kia was 1 hr 10 min and they even wanted to wash my sorento free ! big thumbs up for Alaxander Kia ! the same service in N.J. would have cost an arm and a leg ! and would not have been done properly

Dan: thanks for the suggestion. I didn't get the armrest extension but it might be a future upgrade depending on how it goes. Sometimes armrests get in the way of shifting--not sure how big the Subaru one is. PA's a good state to visit. I know the area from Williamsport east and south to Phila pretty well. Sure would be nice to have that ferry, I agree. I'll definitely share my impressions when I get the car. My dealer didn't have a five-speed OBS so I haven't even driven one yet, just the TS.
I just got my GT

I must admit that I had a dilemma. I owned a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab and was paying about 30 dollars a week in gas. I no longer needed a truck do to my life situation, but I needed something I could drive my kids around in. So on March 13th, I placed an order for a Jeep Wrangler. I then had my kids for that weekend, and realized I made a mistake. I tried to cancel it, but my dealer told me it was too far along in the system. They did say that they would sell me something else (Of course!). I knew I wanted something with room for my kids and their stuff, but I also wanted something fun to drive on a daily basis. Last Friday, the 28th, I saw a PT GT on a dealers lot, not the one I order the Jeep from, with a five speed. I drove the car with my one daughter in the back to check the room. Needless to say I took delivery of my new PT GT from my original dealership on Tuesday the 1st. They had to go get it in Pittsburgh, PA. I live in Williamsport. Mine is electric blue with the 2R package and the only two options left the heated seats and 6 disc changer. Also has the five speed. I still can't get the smile off my face because of the fun factor. My kids love it. I know this was long, but hey it's my story and I'm sticking to it.
You're on the List

frazia - I'm a '72 grad of Mansfield State (old name) so I still like to take the old Rt 15 route (downtown, Trextron plant, Strohmann's Bakery, Mountain Top Diner) through Williamsport when heading up. The good old days of 45-50 mph traffic, all of the way up.
I'm Interested

I live in Williamsport, PA and would be interested in attending a get together. If it is more than a two hour drive I would prefer to sleep over. I bring my own beer and food. Just looking for some other quaders to hang with.

I live in S.E. PA also (Allentown/Reading) area and have found that by going slightly north, prices are much more negotiable. I have a few faxes from a dealership in Williamsport who is willing to discount between $1,300 and $1,880 on new 330i/330Ci's. These were sent to me in response to one email and represent no negotiating on my part, so I assume they would come down a little more to save a sale. If you want more information or a copy of the faxes, send me email (kominsky@lucent.com)
