Re: price dropped in 2-3 days! [tchescat2000]
by miffed on Sat Apr 18 21:13:53 PDT 2009
this is what I think. I think Hyundai sucks. I think the dealers suck especially the Hyundai dealer in Council Bluffs IA I purchased a 2009 Hyundai last August it had 2000 miles on it the only reason I bought it was because it was the color I wanted and the interior color I wanted. I asked about the mileage on it and they said it was from a dealer trade and a couple of test drives. I asked if what a demo or a service vehicle i was told no. The mileage was no big deal until my xm radio went out after 2 weeks and I called Hyunda CS they told me I was not the original owner you see the car was sold in June to someone else so the CS told me I was only getting the 5-60 I called the dealer and they told me that they talked to the Hyundai territory manager and they change their records to give me the 10-100. So I contacted the attorney general in IA and made a complaint. So what the territory manager did was go in and change so I am now the original owner of the car since june of 2009. I took it in the shorts like a previous post said "I would rather not pay the price for a Honda or Toyota" think again mr cheapo the truth of the matter is my Sonata that I paid 16000 for is now worth 9800 in 8 months i went to 12 dealers in 5 cities. They all hit me with in 300 dollars of that figure. I hope Hyundai goes out of business and I hope the dealer goes bankrupt. As far as the people on this blog BUYER BE WARE PS the AG did nothing for me. Since they changed all the records. I guess in IA it's ok to screw the consumer in the eyes of the state government. Buy a Hyundai and save a buck. Guess what Hyundai is selling Sonatas at 13 to 14 grand and they are flooding the market. To those of you who do not understand economics that means like the gentleman who purchased his sonata for 14400 and now they have cut the price to 13500 that he did nothing but lose a 900 dollars in a couple of weeks. But the truth be known he really lost $5,000 as soon as he took possession of it. Believe m Honda and Toyota that doesn't happen you may pay more but you get a better car that is a asset not a liability. Hyundai hope you go broke. the TM for Hyundai I hope you get fired for your dishonesty may you rot in hell.
One Arizona court
by boaz47 on Sat Feb 21 19:53:55 PST 2009
Looks like Arizona is beginning to see the light. http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/26/2671.asp Here is just a tidbit from the ruling in court. Keegan is an elected justice of the peace for Maricopa County. His court has jurisdiction over north Glendale, Peoria, Sun City and Surprise. Any driver contesting a freeway speed camera ticket within this jurisdiction will have the $181 fine automatically dismissed. "It is the determination of this court that the provisions of ARS 41-1722 are unconstitutional and unenforceable within the jurisdiction of this court," Keegan concluded. Finally, a judge with common sense who follows the Constitution," wrote CameraFraud Tucson organizer Bill Conley. Iowa already voted to ban red light cameras. http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/16/1694.asp And the interesting part is one of the reasons. The results have been mixed at best. Even Council Bluffs police admit accidents increased at at least one of the four intersections with cameras. Davenport likewise saw a massive increase in rear-end collisions following installation of the devices. Don’t you just love it. Just the first part looks good. "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 321.258A RED LIGHT CAMERAS PROHIBITED. The department or a local authority shall not place or cause to be placed on or adjacent to a highway, or maintain or employ the use of, a red light camera. So along with Mississippi and Texas things are looking up.
Re: Footprint?
by smu1976 on Wed Jun 11 22:00:37 PDT 2008
The footprint is quite small for towing 8000l bs? Do you know of any vehicle with smaller length or width that can pull this weight. This is nearly 20 inches less in length than my Suburban, and 1.8 inches wider. Funny the "hate" for SUV's, but a new 500 HP Mustang is all the rage. As far as what GM does with Hummer, the topic here, one, American General still makes them, yes even the H2. I would say they will go back to the military market only as their other AM General vehicles have done numerous times over history (JEEP). Try to find a 63 civilian Jeep? American Motors sold Jeep to Chrysler and American General Military division went to GM. Time to stick a hole in Alaska and tap that 20 year supply, sacrifice an owl or a few Caribou one before we loose to many Human lives and further bankrupting companie and households. Also Ethanal, or "fill it up with Ethyl in my day" (just alcohol from corn, has shown that the extra pesticides and run off has a high price to pay also). Quite frankly, there is no free energy or fuel, the price of gas will stabilize in the high 3 buck range. The U.S. at least should bluff that they are going to drill to shake the market. Think of the deals cut and price guarantees from Mexico and Canada, if you don't cut us off for 20 years? They would be at the table for lunch tomorrow. "Hybrids are the answer", and for MPG alone, they are, but for polluting our globe you have to take birth to death of an object or vehicle. Lead batteries are absolutely polluting the earth more with a Prius than a Hummer ever will (I do think Toyota make a fine car and truck too), electricity comes from coal, the most unclean source of power there is, so what is the answer? I don't know. Drive conservatively, don't waste trips, carpool if available. I drive between 7-8K a year, so a 12 month old Hummer will last me with bumper to bumper warranty until 2012-13, which are now buy it now on ebay for about the high thirties, 20 less than MSRP. I'll spend 11K over the next 5 years on gas at 12 mpg, Add in zero repair cost except wear and tear being a certified vehicle. Can't tow two horses with a Prius or anything hybrid, this is for the city folk and I can understand the distain for a Hummer or calling it a beast with anger in your words son, for one of these with 22 inch chrome wheels that are just for show, but arguably, the Prius is just the same, one trying to brag about being "green", maybe with some training in acting and the theatre, but nothing in engineering department. Toyota buys 100 tons of lead in England and there is not a plant or animal now within 100 miles of the facility, 14 years ago it was lush green. The U.S. now uses part of the land for space vehicle practicing site, for it is so barren, yet not sandy.
Well, here try this

The description cuts off the part about the 2 bedroom guest house. hasn't sold because most agents feel it's overpriced, and those are only Canadian $$, so multiply by about 75%.

Truth can be stranger than what you can make up. For the compete story go to http://thepeskyfly.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html and look for Grand Theft Auto, Bluff City. Below is only the part about the straw deals...wearing the wire, political bribery, etc. are in the complete story. According to the criminal complaints, Cooper's little scam at Bud Davis Cadillac was fairly straightforward. Green's girlfriend introduced the two for an auto deal, and when Green's bad credit prevented the purchase of a champagne Cadillac Escalade, Cooper sold him the car by way of cash under the table, registering the car in the name of someone else with better credit. Presumably, he was then able to pocket the difference of his considerable employee discount on Bud Davis' wide selection of bling on four wheels. Green had found himself a Caddy dealer who, in defiance of sane judgement, didn't see any credit risk in a dope pusher with a formidible rap sheet, and Cooper had found himself a buyer who could afford his five-finger discount, no questions asked. It was a match made in Memphis. Before payments were complete on the Escalade, Cooper sold Green another car, this time an STS, which he registered in the name of his own wife. Over time, Green furnished Cooper with a few more recipients for his lucrative largesse, all dope dealers. Cooper moved several fine luxury automobiles by means of this method, jeopardizing the credit of his friends and family on behalf of thugs. Predictably, one of Green's main dope sources dried up thanks to a bust in Arkansas, and his regular payments to Cooper came to a stop. One of the vehicles Cooper had sold to yet another dealer was also unaccounted for, and Cooper found himself unable to get his calls returned from Green or the other dealer. By now, Cooper's friends and wife, quite understandably, "wanted to kill" him. It was at this point, with five luxury cars loaned out to drug dealers without so much as a spit handshake to seal the deal, that Cooper did what any intelligent, careful, and sober person in his position would have done. Cooper reported the missing vehicle stolen, "that way OnStar would know where it is at."
