Hey Unhappy Rust Victim !! Thanks for mentioning the BBB Autoline. I was not aware of them as a source for filing a complaint. I am curious about your Pilot EX. I have a 2008 VP Pilot, and was wondering….Does your 2008 EX Pilot make a knocking or gasoline swishing sound in the very back each time you break, like mine? Also, I learned Honda and Acura 2002-2006 have faulty odometers that collect miles quicker than normal. A lawsuit was filed by an Arkansas Attorney, Scott Sturgis. As a 2008 Pilot owner, do you think our 2008 models would have the same illegal flaw? Also, let me know what becomes of your rust-situation after contacting BBB Autoline. Hey Smart Guy !! I am so glad you had the evidence to back you up !! I'd like to think not all Honda Dealers are a bunch of inconsiderate knuckle-heads, however, I think situations like this prove different. I recently took my new '08 2WD VP Pilot to the Honda dealer for the knocking sound I hear in the back section, along with the gasoline swishing sound, each time I hit the breaks. They claim that because those noises are “normal”, there is nothing they can do for me. The odd thing is I did not hear those sounds when I first test-drove it. I'm curious to find out what becomes of your situation. I’m also curious which Pilot model you have. And, I am curious if yours has the V-TEC 6-cylinder engine. Now, did you know that Honda and Acura models between 2002 and 2006 have faulty odometers? Those odometers pile up the miles quicker than they should. The deadline date to file would be June 26, 2008. Look up the info from Arkansas Attorney Scott Sturgis. Thanks for sharing :-) TiaCia

HONDA SUED FOR ODOMETER FRAUDS

F.Y.I. An Arkansas lawyer, along with other lawyers, filed a lawsuit against Honda for odometers that piled up the miles quicker than normal, in order for the warranty to run out sooner. This issue was posted on 3-30-08 by Scott Sturgis. A final settlement was approved last December. The suit covered the 2002 – 2006 models and 2007 Honda Fits. The same lawyers that sued Honda are now going after Nissan. The article says the Deadline Date to file would be June 26, 2008. How could a consumer get an official testing of their Honda odometer? I would appreciate anyone’s advice. Thanks !! :-) TiaCia

i just got back from sturgis drove 3217 miles from n. ga. to s.d. & back averaged 14.7 mpg round trip. my truck has 5.7,longbed,4wd,loaded gear for 2 guys,slidein 8ft.truck camper [loaded wt.of camper1750 lbs]12ft. trailer,2 h-d roadkings.best tank ms.flatlands16.3 worst tank n. ga. over monteagle in tenn.12.7. impressed with perfor.&handling the whole trip,damn good for 1/2 ton truck ,frend on trip was a retired g.m. worker his statement was if gm didn't pay his nut for the rest of his life he would buy toyota! he's loyal to his employer of 35 yrs.

i live on a hiway know for it's many trails to the great west and it is hiway 24/40 and runs thru the west all the way to cal. some people use it to get to sturgis every year. and the sonic is the favorite stop of all the local car clubs because it still has the car hops and at alot of them around here anyway the girls still were roller skates now how cool is that. go on a sunday and step back to a simpler time
