Hi, Thanks so much for your reply. We finally had them made at the dealer (for free it turned out). One of the mechanics told me the exact same thing. Thanks for your help. Nemo

Zohan, Panda, Hancock
by ateixeira on Wed Jul 30 14:07:50 PDT 2008
We actually liked Zohan. They sort of spoofed people who stereotype, so we sort of gave it a pass in that regard, and it was hilarious. I can see how some people may be offended but again I think the whole thing was a spoof. The humus scenes cracked me up. Kung Fu Panda was pretty good. My 6 year old liked it the most, because it had a lot of physical comedy. I thought it was pretty good, but not up to the level of Finding Nemo or even Cars. For Hancock - I agree with jipster, it was pretty good, but could have been great. They give you one good twist and then didn't know where to go from there. The first half was better than the 2nd half. My wife's in PR so that made her like it even more. We're going to see Get Smart tonight, most likely. Hope we like it.
economy of speed
by nemo on Tue Jul 29 13:06:15 PDT 2008
The Mazda is definitely the cheap speed we're asking for in this market. Wagon practical, fwd fuel efficient (beats the 1995 130hp legacy wagon i had before), leather and hid lights for several grand less than the subie. and any car with snow tires will beat AWD with plain all seaons. if i wanted refinement, i could get v6 something... as it is though, plenty of practical value and fun. compartive gas economy - average mpg for my driving habits 24- speed 3 26-27 civic si 2002 30-32 civic dx 1997 23-24- subi legacy 1995 29-subi justy! 4wd 3cyl 22-92 chevy corsica v6 - of course i just cut my commute to 5 miles so it's not like it matters much for the moment.
Mazdaspeed3 sixth gear not always best?
by nemo on Sun Feb 03 23:40:48 PST 2008
Ok so typically sixth gear should give you the best fuel economy when cruising, but they also say going 55-60 mph would give you better economy. But my trip computer seems to be telling me that 5th gear at 60 mph (3k rpm) is more efficient than 6th at 60mph (2.5k rpm) The car seems to have enough of power in either gear at that speed but how likely is it that car is actually more efficient at 3k rpm explanations?

Top Gear had a great demonstration of old versus new in crashing a modern sub compact with a volvo station wagon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYaSBW7pELQ Having a "tough" bumper just doesn't mean it's safer. New cars take damage so that you don't.
