'57 DeSoto was a beautiful looking car, probably the best looking of those next to the Chrysler 300. If Detroit still had stylists like Virgil Exner and Bill Mitchell, they'd probably move more metal.

if there is an attorney out there who will create a class action against honda for the recurring problem i wish you would contact me . i believe there is enough evidence that honda knew about this problem but chose too ignore it for the last 8 years . they should pay up . i'd love to see a class action against them . i'd be the first to sign up !! george

the dealer set me up to replace my 2006 rear control arms at their exspnse. i had to fight for tire replacement. the tires were downright dangerous at 16000 miles. after a month of phone calls, honda america paid me $429 for my new - safe tires. i will not do business with honda again. they tried to blame the warped tires on me for not rotating them at exactly 5k miles. i had rotated them 2x when i took them off. bad control arms warp tires. not rotating the the tires would have saved the front ones! honda does not live up to my value standard...and i only get 39 on the hybrid...no more hondas!

i am a retired alignment specialist with over 20 years experience . i took my 2000 honda to dealer they told me $600 to replace contol arms and align rear end . honda has had this problem since 2000 . the older hondas had cams on the rear ends and could be adjusted . i have aligned 100's of them . i got the runaround . will probably get the parts ( they have control arms that will correct the problem ) and replace them myself . but first i want to know if any one has been successful in having this done a the dealer's expense ? george

I can definitely see the comparison to, say, a 69 Charger, especially with the flush rear window a la Daytona. But consider this Corvair: alongside the Rekord: and the Vega: It looks like a lot of folks in the late '60s were feeding off each other's designs. Anyone know if Bill Mitchell (who did the '65 Corvair, and then the Vega and the '70-1/2 Camaro) might have worked on the Rekord/Commodore?

I hate that you are having problems with your 350. My 250 continues to give me great service. I took it to the dealer saturday for its 30000 mile service and then the wife and I headed up the blue ridge parkway toward mt mitchell to see the fall colors. 290 mile trip averaged 15.5 mpg. Back in august we took the camper down to the outer banks. If I held it down between 60 and 65 I got about 10 mpg. However on one stretch lets say I was in a hurry to get the beach. Averaging about 80 to 85 mph mileage dropped to about 7mpg. Camper weighs about 9000 lbs empty is 35 feet long and 11 1/2 feet high. I easley had another 2000 lbs in cargo and passengers. At 85 mph truck had power to spare. Needless to say I'm still very happy with mine. I still average around 14 mpg in my day to day driving. I hope you can get the problems with your truck resolved. You might try to have the dealer re flash the main computer. It controls the fuel and air ratios and that has a lot to do with power and mileage. Good Luck
