Re: Murano in CT [dpct]
by darqchild on Tue Mar 25 13:54:45 PDT 2008
It goes to show you that it matters where you live. I'm a CT resident also. Got my new 2009 Murano LE in Sapphire Blue with black leather interior with everything Except the moon roof, NAV & tow package for $35,065. After seeing other posters say how the dealerships wouldn't give them a break I was a little scared. But I knew what I wanted and the dealership, Girard Nissan of Groton, went so far as to configure it to order from Japan for me because they couldn't find it in the U.S. inventory. Luckily one popped up in inventory search (it was in Texas) a week later. Now I am the proud owner of the ONLY one like it in this part of the country configured like that. SWEET! I also got a replacement policy for those very expensive 20" wheels. For five years I get at least two flat incidents and one replacement from any Nisssan dealer in the contiguous US. My cost per incident can't exceed $1600. That takes a load off my mind and my wallet. Just when I thought I was tired of driving I am in love again. This SUV is great and I am glad I stuck to my guns and got exactly what I wanted because it is more than worth it.
First '08 Accord Sedans in SE CT
by tryan on Mon Sep 10 03:42:33 PDT 2007
Well, yesterday the first 2008 Accord Sedans arrived in Groton, CT. I had the fortune to have the delivery truck drive right past me, so I immediately went to the local dealer and found 1 LX, 1 EX 4-Cylinder (190HP), 3 EX-L 4-cylinders and a EX-L V6 with Navi. This car is so much nicer looking in person, the proportions are spot on, though the car is huge compared to the last gen. It dwarfed the '07 Civic next to it.... :) Come and get 'em! ;)

im from the great state of CT too - and i got a speeding ticket on my way back to school in RI in 1999 for $274. i was driving on 95N near groton (where they have that big wide 5 lanes across (or something like that) bridge that all of a sudden, the speed limit drops from 65 to 55 for no reason. following the speed of traffic, cop pulls me over telling me im doing 84 in a 55. whoops! sent it in not guilty, and it took them nearly a year to finally set up a court date for me! i had thought they had forgotten! had it reduced to 175, so i guess its ok. that place is infamous for speed traps though... where abouts in CT are you located? im 10 minutes south of hartford, in newington. -thene :)
Re: more power? [volvomax]

Would you please share your experience with upsolute? Like I said, I never got around to doing mine, so it would be good to have the info for future reference. IPD is GREAT! Don't get me wrong. They do a tremendous amount of legwork for the volvo aftermarket scene, and their products are typically top notch. I just don't use them that much, personally. I purchased their stainless brake lines and some other odds and ends over the years. I just could never justify buying the more expensive stuff from them or even the common repair items (FCP Groton or alloemautoparts were much cheaper for the same stuff).
CT buyer
by jimmismash on Mon Apr 24 09:57:30 PDT 2006
We're looking to trade in our '03 FWD SE (originally from VA) for a new AWD, w/ touring, leather, nav. We've been offered the above (Platinum on charcoal) for a list of 38.3K from Girard Nissan in Groton, CT. What should we be looking at re: trade-in? Any experience buying in the CT/RI area? Any word on what the 2007 model will have? Hybrid???
