Re: best pricing in WAshington State for 08 EX AWD auto Element [pepsicola
by randall1234 on Sun Jul 13 17:00:52 PDT 2008
Well I got my EX AWD silver Element and I love it. I sent an email to a couple of dealerships and asked for their best price "out the door" and the best offer I got was from Aberdeen Honda in Aberdeen. I brought the car outright and did not have to go thru the financing. Once I got their email in writing came to the dealership gave them their money and I was out the door their internet sales guy was fantastic. I must say they were very good in replying to my email and not giving me the run around. Even thought I am a Costco member they gave me a better price. I think the only thing added was wheel locks. I going to get me a rack and a Thule box and I should be good. I am not happy with my toaster... hope this helps...

The silver is nice (billet silver?). That and Aberdeen green were my wife's first two choices but they don't make the VP in green and the dealer we got ours from didn't have silver so we got mocha metallic (beige-brown). 3 oil changes are about $66 at out local Honda dealer on special, about $100 at another local dealer that never has a special so that is not bad. Re: Has your dealer explained their lease calculation? [dwynne]

Thanks, Dennis. I'm still puffed up with all the knowledge and power I've gotten from these posts. Just a short 2 months ago I never would have thought about leasing. But after all my research I was confident and empowered. My fingers were flying across my calculator keys! I decided on Aberdeen Green. I had a bit of concern about the "trendy" color, but figured if I hate it in 3 years the truck goes back! I am confident I can find the next great lease or purchase. But maybe I'll love the Pilot so much that I'll still think fondly of Aberdeen Green. I was one of those Ford Explorer people who had teal green back in the early 90s. I ended up keeping the truck for 14 years. We stuck out like a sore thumb, but it was a great ride. After the Explorer my vehicles have been dirt colored (silver, light taupe, etc.). Can you tell I have kids? Now that the youngest boy is 7, it is time for a change. I didn't like the grey interior on the Pilot and decided to take a chance on something different. I think the olive green leather interior will withstand the rigors of my 4 growing boys better than tan or grey. And if not, I still got a great deal!! Thanks to all for the amazingly helpful information...

Thanks for the response. It does help. In case you're wondering about the price, what the SE comes with are the rear DVD Rear Entertainment System with 9-inch display, integrated remote control and headsets with personal surround sound, mud guards, chrome package (side mirror cover, front & rear bumper trim, etc.), I-Linc for IPods, an 8 gb IPod Nano, All-Weather rubber mats (on top of the regular mats), chrome side step bars, roof rack and wheel locks.I may even ask for the tonneau cover, wodgrain interior trim, cargo tray & caro net. Yes, we're pretty much going all out. We have an '02 CR-V EX-L with lots of options which we're considering trading in nor not. I was also considering crossing the broder to Buffalo, NY but was worried about warranties, etc. I think you're right about the aberdeen green color, although the white looks good, too. Thanks again and enjoy your Pilot.
