2007 Avalon XLS- Blizzard Pearl: by mahenn45 on Tue Nov 21 19:13:08 PST 2006; Hi, We purchased a 2007 XLS last Friday for $30069 OTD. We live in Greenville,SC. The vehicle comes with Toyogaurd even though we were not interested in that. Since wife was very keen on the color(it was a nightmare trying to get this color and took almost a month and the dealer had to speacial order it). Even though we struck the deal last Friday, we will take delivery this Friday after Thanksgiving. SC is having a no sales tax on Nov 24th and Nov 25th, th dealer mentioned that if we pick it up that day we would save about $400 in taxes- so bottom line, the Toyogaurd was 679-400 = $269 :)

Re: Torque Steer [theracoon]: by poolwd on Thu Feb 09 15:15:17 PST 2006; I just bought a 2003 CRV EX and it appears to have torque steering. The harder I accelerate the harder it pulls to the right. It does not drift unless you accelerate. I've only had the car 2 weeks and the Honda dealer says there's nothing that can be done to fix it. Any suggestions or should I just accept this. Want this wear out my tires? Thanks for any help or ideas. Bill

EX Cloth in SC: by gauger01 on Thu Mar 31 17:23:48 PST 2005; Got an EX cloth for 26,008 before dest and taxes. They through in mud guards, wheel locks and 5 year interior and exterior protection. Bought a Panasonic overhead DVD system on ebay for $399, installed for $150. It comes with 9 inch screen and wireless headphones. Had to get a FM modulator for another $35.

According to the invoice the dealership uses Castrol 10W30, which is not the recommended oil. I have 45,000 miles on my car, and the engine has developed a sludge problem. The problem is so severe that the engine needs to be replaced. Volkswagen refuses to pay for the repair because I missed one oil change. But they failed to tell me that they were not using the oil that is recommended in the manual. This surprises me that the authorize dealerships do not follow the manual recommendations, but holds the owner responsible for this error.
