To reiterate, if others have feedback: Bargaining for a 2007 EX 4wd in SC got the price down to 23,000. Thats about invoice. The dealer has added wheel locks, mud guards, and cargo tray but is throwing that in. My trade in, a 2004 CR-LX 2wd w/34,800 miles (clean, no dings or dents, usual light plastic scratches inside, no smoking, flawless carpet/seats) needs tires but otherwise in very good shape. It's being valued at 12,000 leaving this as the deal: 23,000 CR-V EX 4wd -12,000 trade in --------------- 11,000 + admin fee ($299), and tax, title transfer (around 332 in South Carolina). I'll be looking at more distant dealerships (Myrtle Beach, Orangeburge, etc) for some competing quotes.

We wound up buying our two Outbacks at Kolb Subaru in Orangeburg, NY, due to their proximity to work. Great experiences there, also. They both have large selections and a fair amount of 5 speed manuals, if that makes a difference. Both are Subaru exclusive, so they don't sell or service anything else. I don't think you can go wrong at either dealership. I hope this helps. Len

xm radio capable?: by joeyags21 on Thu Aug 03 07:05:41 PDT 2006; i just got a hummer h3, and all of the radios that hummer offers are xm capable not all are xm ready, i was told by the dealer that in order to make my radio xm ready they had to pull the unit and install a chip that would allow me to select xm from the band button, only problem, they want over $400 for it, does anyone know where i can get it cheaper or any other options i might have?

xm radio capable?: by joeyags21 on Wed Aug 02 09:26:43 PDT 2006; i have the H3 with the 6 disk in dash monsoon radio system, i want to add my xm subscription to the radio so i dont have the ugly external unit on my dash, i was told at the dealer that all they had to do was pull the radio and add a chip to it in order for me to have xm as an option when i press the band button, the problem was that they want $400 for this chip, does anyone know where i can get this "chip" or how i can override the radio to recieve xm?
