What are people getting in and around Atlanta? I thought about checking out the dealers in Athens, Augusta, Macon, Columbus and Chattanooga.. Any help would be much appreciated!

Nice numbers (and thanks for the reply, CRVJoe). I remain optimistic that my local dealer will come through on price but, if not, my shopping geography extends into Knoxville w/o any problem. I can also extend throughout North Carolina and South Carolina, Alabama (Birmingham), Georgia (Augusta and Atlanta), and maybe N Florida through Orlando. I am looking for the G37, sport 6MT w/premium package. Still undecided on colors.

My 1999 Cabrio needs a new top. Motor is fine. The dealership quoted $4500. Any suggestions? Kirk from Carolina

I have a 99 cabria. I have to lock and unlock my car from the passenger side with my key. A few years ago, I had the ignition swith and both door locks replaced. A couple of weeks ago, both door locks froze up. I could get the door unlocked with a key, but the factory alarm would not turn off. (the blinking LED kept blinking. The alarm sounded and the ignition was disabled. I disoconnect the battery and had the car towed to the VW dealership. They unjamed my door locks, but the electronics are still finnicky. Kirk
Disappearing dealerships?

I live in Augusta, GA and bought my Mazda3 hatch in February. Finally hit 5000 miles and went to take it in for service. The Mazda dealership was gone! It had been replaced by the Mercedes dealership it shared space with. Turns out that the owner of the Mazda dealership in North Augusta, SC bought them out. The other dealership is farther away - but not too much farther. More distance but same time to drive there. BUT the Mazda dealership is moving into a soon-to-be-vacated Honda dealership that is moving to a brand new location across town. Mazda approved of the deal, but it looks like a backwards step. The new location is closer to the military base here and it is a larger location. Maybe more volume will allow them to carry a wider variety of cars. Also, looked at their only Mazda 5. It had $900 of Mop-n-Glo but I like the car more than when I saw it at the Atlanta Autoshow in the spring.

Bingo! I think that is it. I went to autonews.com, autoweek.com, and wardsauto.com. Since they all have "auto" in the website, I was having a hard time remembering exactly where to go. The website wasn't in my favorites and didn't show up on the 'recently visited' list in Opera. I had a production report .pdf from Ward's in my download directory, but that info is for North American production only. Thanks again Jason
