Re: Price Paid [rambler16]

I've heard the same story... "They won't do that"...I had the internet guys from a Dealer in Bakersfield, Ca called me dishonest.... Then I emailed them the quote from the other dealer - Sierra in Lancaster, Ca. All of the sudden a different sales guy from the Bakersfield dealer started email me.... Right now I'm finding $500 below invoice plus the rebate on anything at any of the dealerships. I've got one at 1,000 below invoice - Las Vegas. I'll see if the local guys will match it. Vegas's region has less rebate so the net is about the same either way right now. But if I can work another 500 out of them before I buy, I will! :) At this point I'm tempted to just sit out and wait until the incentives go up. ;) ( I get a good deal on a rental.... :shades: ) As I remember November was about peak last year...should be this year. Sales down and the '09's out.
Tires and mileage
by steversk on Fri Oct 03 12:14:56 PDT 2008
I got new tires last month. As expected the mileage dropped. As per my previous post I had been averaging 53 mpg. I am now averaging 47 mpg on the last 6 tanks of gas. Hopefully as the tires wear the mileage will go back up. I bought better tires that will hopefully last longer than the original tires (only 17,000 miles). Alot of my commute is through canyon roads, and it has always been tough on tires on any car we've had.
EX-L with RES near Columbus Ohio
by binthinkn on Sun Aug 31 14:44:25 PDT 2008
I just purchased a 2008 EX-L with RES and complete tow package at Lancaster Ohio dealer (Buckeye Honda). With a friend and I working on this and a competing dealer (I highly recommend working on two dealers for the best price - even though it seems like a lot of effort), I got the OTD price to 31K, which includes tax, title and license with the tow package (normally around 1,000 installed). The cash price for the vehicle was $28,911, and there was 1,822 in tax and 250 in document fees (title and license). I have been working with this dealer for some time and they were good to work with. The vehicle was not a demo nor did it have unusual issues.
Re: Reality check for quote for EXL-RES [crvguy1]

I am also in the market for one in central Ohio in the same time frame. I have worked with a dealer in Lancaster for several years and they seem to be fair. I have quote from them for an EX-L with Res, tow package, mud guards and rear tray for 30,030 plus TTL. I think we can do better. Email me at "jfoster" at "ohiopatent.com" (I took out the "at" symbol to try to keep web crawers from getting my email address) and let's see what we can work out. Also, I get a TON of spam, so put something in the subject line of your email like Honda Van or similar.
Re: Cadillac-LaSalle Club Grand National [andre1969]
by lemko on Fri Aug 15 21:24:22 PDT 2008
This show is held in different cities throughout the country every year since at least 1973. I joined the CLC in 1994. The Grand National was held in Lancaster, PA in 1993, but every year since I was a member it was held some place far from me. In 2002, it was held in Detroit for the 100th anniversary of Cadillac. I think it was held in upstate New York last year. This year, it's just across the river from Philly, so I'm definitely going to be there.
Current mileage
by steversk on Mon Aug 11 16:49:10 PDT 2008
I now have over 16,000 on my 08 HCH and the last ten tanks of gas have averaged 53 mpg. Low tank was 49.8 and high was 55.2. I hope the milage doesn't go down too much when I change the tires.
