It's too bad because i really like the car but this little clunk drives me crazy. That and lousy range on the remotes, but what are you gonna do. The remotes should work from more than 20 feet, but 1 annoyance at a time i guess.
06 impala with a clunk/rattle from steering column
by partyuv5 on Mon Jan 21 12:28:02 PST 2008
Hi all,i have a 06 Impala LT with the 3.5 V6. Love the car for the most part but i have this annoying little rattle/clunk from the steering column. You can't hear it as much as feel it in the steering wheel. When turning wheel and accelerating from a stop or just stopped and release the brake and apply it again quickly, you can feel slight movement in the column. It's not like a loose steering wheel and doesn't seem to affect anything, just an annoying little feeling. The car has 21,000 miles on it and i purchased it used at 19,000. I love the car really and this about all i can nit pick at. Thanks all in advance.
2007 Ridgeline RTL w/Navi , Dk Cherry Pearl
by kb1awv on Sun Aug 19 07:58:31 PDT 2007
I purchased my 2007 Ridgeline RTL w/Navigation last Saturday, August 11. The dealer was Majestic Honda in West Warwick, RI. I paid $28,600 including destination. The dealer also gave me 22 gallons of gas free (standard Hoda practice). I'm sure somebody out there has paid less but I must say that I am thrilled with this truck! This was a very good decision. The quality of this vehicle is top notch. The ride and handling are excellent, great stereo and XM satelite radio, and all sorts of storage. The gas mileage is just fine for me. I got 16.5 miles per gallon in my first week. Almost all of my driving is around town. I also purchased a mat to cover the bed area. It looks great and fits exact. This vehicle is a keeper. Re: Update MSRP $73... [billyg2]

"How much did you get off msrp?" Well, its a long story. Suffice to say that with Section 179 I paid about 31K net for a 47K Cay. I wouldn't have bought a Cay (or anything new, really) if it weren't for the Section 179. I found it hard to get (and I've posted this earlier) a Cay without lots of useless options. Inskip acted as though it was my fault for not wanting to buy NAV (we live in New England; if you can't find I90 running East/ West and I95 running North/ South, maybe you should move) and "soft" leather. Soft leather for those that have not been on the Porsche web site costs a bunch extra and looks as though a high school prom couple spent the night in your Cay consummating their 2 week "relationship". Inskip allowed as how they could order in a vehicle but sniffed and said they "had never done it before". If Roger Penske ever hears about this, heads will roll in Warwick. Chambers was more accomodating but had Cays mostly in various shades of black. (Regrettably, it snows in New England. Black looks good only for three weeks a year.) I called Pass & Weiss because I liked their low key ads and that their service manager apparently is a Ph. D. (I recall seeing an ad for mechanics in the Boston Globe asking applicants to call Dr....). For some reason I never went there (maybe I do need NAV: where the heck is Carlise?). The clock was ticking, literally. My lobster gear was all out of the water and I had to do something. My wife thought I was nuts and refused to discuss the issue anymore with me. Friday, 28 December was the last business day of the year. So, I left for Nashua at 9:00 AM with a friend. The boys in Nashua had a great selection in good colors. I didn't feel that they resented me for trying to buy a car from them. I gave them a check and asked them to call me when it cleared. My friend and I got back into the F150 and went home.
