At Manchester, Nh Subaru, Wakefield, MA Subaru it's about 1/3rd less than the package they offer, because the package has a lot of services added by the dealer but not required by SOA. I have lifetime rotate and balance on my tires, for example, so paying the dealer is going to be more costly as well. And in my experience few technicians do any of the checks suggested in the manual - they're paid flat rate so less time means more money for them and the dealer. If there are imprtant checks that require removal of bolts, panels etc, I rub chalk on them to see if they've been touched.

I ended up buying this vehicle for $18.8K plus sales tax from Subaru of Wakefield, MA. They were the easiest to deal with and most competitive in the greater Boston market for my needs. Sonata 4 cyl merge on the freeway acceleration?: by rpwcaw on Sat Feb 25 17:34:19 PST 2006; I have decided to buy a Sonata and my question is about the difference in acceleration between the 4 and 6 cylinder models. I am moving to Ringgold, Georgia next week from Costa Rica. Here I have a Nissan X-Trail but it is not allowed in the states. Ringgold is located almost on I 75 going Into Chattanooga. When merging onto I 75 will the 4 cyl model Sonata keep me ahead of those huge trucks barreling down the highway? I would like to have the 4 cyl for the economy it offers. Please talk to me about the this. Spell it out plain for me because I am 77 years of age and after a long while I am returning to my native land. Russell Wakefield

And the same salesman. He was astonished that I was not willing to pay $1,500 more - for the identical car than Manchester Subaru. I bought my first two there but won't be back.

Same here - north of Boston: Wilmington Subaru finally got it's own building - new Subaru spec. No more sharing with the used car superstore next door. Ira Subaru moved into their old Mazda building. One huge lot with Subaru, Mazda, Lexus, Porsche, Audi. Wakefield Subaru is still stuffed into an old converted Chrysler showroom complete with 70's paneling.
