rupter, It appears that you do not live far from me. I would not rule out a trip to Fitzgerald's when you decided it is buying time. I've been keeping an eye on a local dealership's inventory (Milham - Easton, PA) over the last few months. In contrast to your observation, my thoughts are that these vehicles are moving of the lot very slowly. There are presently 66 2008 RAV's still on Milham's lot and now the 2009's will be showing up very soon. I would think these guys are going to have incentive very soon, if not now, to start moving these 2008 models. Two specific stock# vehicles for which I have potential interest have been on the lot since I started looking back in June timeframe. The longer the vehicle sits on the lot...the more money lost by the dealer. I also made a trip to MotorWorld in Wilkes-Barre and did some test drives on the RAV and the Mitsubishi Outlander. Any good or bad vibes on MotorWorld? They did not pressure me at all when I came in for the test drives and I never left my name or contact info. with them. This may be because I was in the 'research stage' of the buying process. My intent is to contact Fitzgerald's and get a delivered price quote on a vehicle. I will use that as a bargaining tool locally and go from there. If the local guys refuse to move on price I will drive to Fitzgerald's to buy...assuming they can get my vehicle of interest.

If you are in the Northeast, try Wyoming Valley Motors out in Wilkes Barre, PA. I got my order in, no down, ETA end of Sept or early Oct. I live in NYC but travel to PA a lot, so that was not much of a stretch for me. Your situation may be different. If you live near a big city, try the outskirts. You'll be surprised, people outside of NYC are so much more agreeable. Good luck.

Ordered the car last month, arriving by end of Sept., production in progress, awaiting VIN. Dealer in NE PA is Wyoming Valley Motors in Wilkes Barre. They get two diesels every month and have sold out their allocation until Feb 09 even before the first model came. I live in Metro NY but the dealers here (Toyota, Honda, Nissan, VW) all want 5K over MSRP for hybrids and diesels, if they are even available. Cash upfront even before they will order the vehicle, and as what happened to me with a 2009 Camry Hybrid from Lee's Toyota in Jamaica, Queens, they ordered one for me and when the car arrived, they gave it to someone who gave them more money.

...for me is only $14, but that's only because I buy a case of cheap Lion's Head beer imported from exotic Wilkes-Barre, PA.

i bought an 08 toco access cab trd off road package 4x4 27,500 out the door. im in pa and bought the truck in scranton pa. had a down payment at mortor world in wilkes-barre pa on a monday went to pick it up on the following wensday and they sold the truck in me on tuesday. if anyone in this forum lives in the scranton wilkes-barre area please do not deal with motor world in wilkes-barre pa bought the truck at toyota in dickson city pa
