Yes, absolutely. Once one drives east of The Dalles, the road just gets flatter and straighter right up through Pendleton. Then there is Cabbage Hill and the Blue Mountains, and it picks up a bit in the interest department. Not that I mind the Columbia Basin, mind you. I really like the area and lived there for 16 years, but I-84 just is not very interesting driving.

I-84 can be boring, but only East of The Dalles. The tree lined Gorge up to there is outstanding during clear weather.

I'm sure there's some good Spanish wine, but nothing beats a Barbaresco or Barolo dall'Italia. I will not discuss that… …but only because I carefully avoid nationalistic controversies :P . Regards, Jose

Yes, I am sure it is beautiful. I would love to go there and watch from a safe distance as maybe Tagman and Lexusguy ran with the bulls!! As for me, I'll just have to be content to "shoot" the bull!! Count me out for that. My wife has to drag me out of the house just to go for runs around the neighborhood. I would like to see more of Spain though, I've only been to Barcelona and was only there two days. As with any trip to Europe, I'll have to squeeze in a few days for Italy. I'm sure there's some good Spanish wine, but nothing beats a Barbaresco or Barolo dall'Italia.
Re: F37 Question [zoomy2]

My thoughts on the shifting down was due to the lowering of the HP the engine puts out. I'm sure you will see that the pulling power up hills is reduced and that is why I'm not getting the recall done. My dealer agrees with me. If I was not pulling a trailer I'd have the recall done but pulling over Mtn's (continental Divide) and others I want all the power I paid for when we purchased the CRD. Our MPG have been 19 pulling at 60-65MPH and 26-27 not towing. So far no problems with the engine or trans.

That's why I did not have the recall done. Towing is the main reason for our Liberty along with the 19mpg then towing. The tech said I'd loose the towing power due to the reduction of torque on the tranny. Meaning the engine would act like a gas engine and shift when the pressure is put on the tranny meaning increased rpm and lower mpg. That's not acceptable to me. I paid for the diesel 295 ft. lbs. of torque nothing less. Is it our fault the tranny in some models can't handle the pressure? If they want to replace the tranny with one that will take the torque great. Until then I'm sticking to what I paid for. If the tranny goes out, I'll deal with Jeep on a full buy back then. I have 84 months or 70,000 miles until it's out of warranty.
