Re: Looking to purchase a 2009 Corolla LE Automatic [knight346]

If you wait for few months, the market will be flooded with this segment of cars. It looks like all the auto manufacturers are working to bring their most fuel efficient compact cars to the market ASAP. If you wait for few months, it is highly possible that better designed and better fuel efficient cars will be available at much lower prices than currently available in the market.
low civic inventories

Does anyone know how long will it take to replenish low Civic inventories. I amsure Honda will incresed their Civic production, inventories will be normal, and the prices will become close to invoice.

There are many reasons for the " Blame" and it is NOT for the delay in the re-imbursement but for reasons too numerous to mention here. I am sure you would not be as pleased as you are If you knew the circumstanes that led up to the charges I incurred to get my Murano running like it should run .Would you really be pleased if you had a problem like I had and had to pay over ten thousand dollars for a repair that runs about five thousand dollars? Are you aware that dealers have the option of accepting warranty work from vehicles purchased in canada and that the dealer makes more profit If he does not put the repair through a warranty claim? If you say yes to this you would be a very pleasing customer. There are lots of dealers in Florida that would have done the repair under warranty . Vero Nissan # 1 is not Numero UNO on my dance card . I can go north or south about 20 miles and both the dealers accept warranty work. Enjoy your new Murano....its a nice vehicle...not like some dealers....
Re: steel wheels v/s alloy wheels [ateixeira]

I strongly believe weight is critical to get best fuel efficiency. RAV4 has the same engine (3.5 L) as Sienna and curb weight of base model (3.5 L) RAV4 is 3527 lbs - about 15% less than base model of Sienna. Based upon EPA estimates, RAV4 is estimated as 19/27 MPG - about 17-18% better fuel efficiency as compared to Sienna. My objective is to get MPG as close to RAV4 as practically possible. To achieve this, I am trying to get the curb weight of Sienna as low as possible.

That's interesting. It means I can go for 16" alloy wheels without increasing curb weight. I am trying to buy the lightest possible Sienna. CE-7 passenger and LE-8 passenger are lightest (4177 lbs) in base models. Unfortunately, I can't buy a LE-8 passenger without options in my area. I have to buy minimum of RL and Option package 1. I am trying to determine how much extra weight will be added with these options. Any help on this will be appreciated.
