by minds_eye on Mon Nov 17 20:21:56 PST 2008
Sorry, I also posted in another portion, but thought it would not hurt to ask in this one. I will be shopping in Portland / Salem, OR. Can anyone tell me what the dealer invoice is for an EX, 2-door, manual trans? There opening offer is $19.1, thou I see in the other forums where peeps are picking them up for 17.5. Thoughts? Thanks ! ! ! :)

Hey Take, and all others! I will be shopping in Portland, OR Really? 17.5 for an 09 EX with manual? That is exactly what I am shopping for. Local Dealer has sent me an opening price of 19.1 + DMV fee's, and that is with my "fabulos" discount I get offered thru an incentive firm I deal with. Can someone please tell me what the real dealer invoice is on an 09 Civic EX, 2-door, with manual trans? And what is a "fair" profit to add to that? Three percent? And does anyone know what new incentives that Honda is going to make effective on DEC 1st? Also, does anyone know what incentives the dealer gets for selling a car, so I can make that part of my offer? And thx for all the other info, I have learned a lot already. TY!

Wrt bj02176, I've same experiences with my Nokian WRG2's on the Forester. Have had no trouble in rain (or any tire spin when accelerating on wet roads). Am hopeful they will work well once snow and Ice arrive in Portland.

I've not seen the fuel door problem on mine yet, but good to know how to fix it. There could also be friction of the spring on the body that might exacerbate the problem. Another thing to watch out for are creaks from the sunroof. Part of them are caused by the moonroof inner cover rubbing against the metal deflector, and possibly the uppermost edge of the moonroof trim. My latest fix was to use a dry lubricant on both the inner part of deflector, and the upper edge of the moonroof door rubbing against the deflector. Only time will tell if this works for sure.

Pacific Northwest. Seattle Acura has 48 MDXs Portland Acura has 50 MDxs. The price of gas is still pretty high here so SUVs are not moving.

Through October, overall U.S. auto sales are down nearly 15% compared with last year, and just one major automaker, Subaru, has sold more cars in the U.S. this year than last. Did most of that gain came from one model, the '09 Forester?
