Day to buy!!!!: by abarry90 on Fri Oct 31 13:01:21 PDT 2008; I made some calls this morning and have a bidding war going on for our sale with dealerships in the portland/salem area. I have a current offer of $15988 on a 2009 Sport MT. Unfortunately, we still don't have our other car sold for sure and probably couldn't make it in to do the deal today anyway. Hopefully we will be able to get a similar deal in November! Other offers I got today were around $16500. Had two of those as well. Today is the day for a good deal.

Winston-Salem NC: by mattandi on Mon Oct 20 11:36:13 PDT 2008; Still dropping (we're still above the national avg though, that's backwards from the normal course of events) RUG avg about $3.25 my usual station is down to $3.06 (dropped .22 overnight Saturday) still have shortages of plus and premium

04 Lift Gate "FIX" created problems: by genee on Thu Oct 23 14:51:08 PDT 2008; We recently received a recall to "fix" the power lift gate on our 04 XLE Limited. We had experienced no problems, but dutifully took it in. After this "fix" the lift gate opens and immediately closes. One sequence was 7 of 9 tries. When it does stay open there is some LOUD grating (like unlubed rubber grommets). Of course, it behaves properly when we take it back in. Oh! the "fix" was for tail gates that were not staying open. The recall letter said bring it in even if you hadn't had problems. I wish I had not. Should I contact the regional offices?

Winston-Salem NC: by mattandi on Wed Oct 22 05:55:13 PDT 2008; we're catching on NC avg. now $2.98 locally the same my usual station down to $2.89 this morning (btw - I don't think I ever identified my usual station, it is a Hess operated by a local company Williams Oil. or Wilco) still shortages of plus and premium, so there is a 20 to 40 cent differential, the differential is normally around 10 to 20 cents

Quite naturally, when i went there yday they did not have the black on black and they did not know anything about the $40600 but did give me a price of $41650 with the running boards. In Salem they had one black on black left and i told them that the Portland dealer had one at $41650 and faxed it to him showing the running boards but told him that he was gonna throw in the rails.I told him if he wanted to do the same i would buy it . if not i would buy the white one from the Portland dealer-(Yeh Right!!!) .BINGO!! We had a deal))
