You will probably be happier in that Aurora job. You will probably mature more or just be free from family "ties" as it were and progress as a person much better if you move and take this Aurora Toyota job. And Toyota is enormously successful, you will have nice job security as well. Go for it!

Noises:: by andeet on Sat Nov 15 23:44:04 PST 2008; Hmm....I don't know what to tell you? I would take it to Toyota dealer and see what they say. You can get a estimate and could take it to another shop. Get the work done there for cheaper. I have least five different rattles with mine. One,squeaks everytime I go over small bump at very slow speeds. I thought it was the struts but I switch them out with aftermarket; its still there. --------------- Well, I maybe saving money and move to Aurora, IL. Depending how the economy is in couple of years. Offer to take a position at the Midwest Toyota Parts warehouse. They must pay well since they require minimal 2 years of experience. They ask you to handle a $500.00 starter...you think they will only pay $8.00s or $25.00+? Benefits are GREAT! I love my family and job....but; I'm turning 25 next week. And the family still treats me like I am 6 still. I know they care but I'm going to be 25! I think moving to Aurora and work for Toyota could give them convince in me and I could live my own life. Doesn't help my brother, sister and uncle work at my current company.

Re: Siren type noise from engine on acceleration [trini3]: by racuatt on Fri Nov 14 16:53:38 PST 2008; My Aurora had a noise I thought sounded like a jet. It was the freon compressor bearing. They say it's not replaceable although my son is a GM mechanic and called a bearing company to find a replacement. Replacing the bearing saved us a lot of money.

[boomchek]: by explorerx4 on Wed Nov 12 16:22:33 PST 2008; if a car had a vinyl roof, i like the ones that have it in the front, leaving the back of the roof painted, like that maverick. back in '96 when my wife was looking for a new car, she liked the taurus sho and the aurora. the sho listed for about 30k, aurora 36k+. guess which one she bought.

Then he gives a writeup of a model 9 years newer that describes engine choices his doesn't even come with. :confuse: I like the Maverick... but I think it's a bit overpriced for what it is. The Olds Aurora.. "all emblems removed"... there were a grand total of 2 or 3 emblems on the Aurora. I remember when the car came out there was no "Oldsmobile" emblem anywhere on the car. I always liked the shape of the Auroras though, and the Intrigues for that matter.
