Re: DEAD BATTERY [fust]

14.6 Volts is what you should have when the engine is running ;) - Never forget there is always an error on a Voltmeter, even when it's a digital. - Normally there is a 'fused link' between the alternator and the battery. - You have an alternator problem when your lights dim near idle speed. - You have a battery problem when your lights dim during startup. Jeep Toledo plant may loose 1,800 jobs according to Financial news  Last point: when you measure a certain voltage on the leads, this doesn't mean the inside of the battery is getting it ;)

I've always like Subaru's, but now that I've got my first "real" job (just graduated), I've been looking at an '09 Subaru Legacy SE. I 'll be driving around 12,000 miles just to work and back, so I requested some pricing with 18,000 miles annually. The dealer in Toledo, OH has the exact car I want for around $23,458. Their "sale" price was $21,457. With the 18K miles, and two year lease, their offer was $348 a month with $1,400 down. This doesn't sound like a great deal to me, but it does have considerably more miles than most of the leases I've seen on here. The SE I'm looking at is "Diamond Metallic, " with grey interior, fog light kit, and dimming mirror w/compass. All of the other options are the standard SE package (stereo, sunroof, etc.) Any thoughts?

From the viewer's left, the red car is an AMC Hornet ca. 1973-74. I believe the yellow car is some species of Ford Consul. The big olive-colored thing looks like a lower-line Plymouth of some sort (can't place the year--maybe 1955-56 Plaza?) and the red thing behind it is familiar but hard to nail down--maybe a Triumph Toledo? Harder to figure out is where all of these cars would be seen in the same street scene, especially since I don't remember the movie and can't recognize the skyline. Australia? South Africa? The silver rear quarter panel at the extreme left looks early 1970s GM--Buick Skylark or maybe a Holden.

I'm not a mechanic and I'm still trying to figure out my issues but during my research I found out that the accessory relay in the fuse box under the hood on the right side can cause some problems like yours if it's going bad. If you turn the cover over it tells you which one is the accessory relay. I'm going to try replacing mine to see if it makes a difference. They run about 6.00 so it's worth a try.

I was just wondering, if you had the time you could e-mail me and i could give you the log in info so you could look through the info on that site for me and maybe figure out what i really need. As I said I'm not a mechanic so I'm not sure how much or what info I really need. I printed everything I found on the windows and the wiring diagrams I don't think I can print the whole thing as I'm sure I'll run out of ink and paper..
