It took me exactly six months from the day I ordered to the day I took delivery of my fully loaded AWD 2009 FEHL (April 21 - Oct 21). It has been the best vehicle I've ever driven (all 700 miles of it). I've been averaging about 28 mpg in mostly city driving. Based upon what I've read in this an other forums, I expect the mileage to drop a little during the colder months and pick up again when the weather warms up again in the Spring. I'm still getting used to talking to my vehicle via Sync, but I'm getting the hang of it. Being my first large vehicle (I have a hard time saying the word "truck" for some reason), I really appreciate the backup sensors, which I am happy to report can be turned off when backing up out of my side of the two-car garage to avoid the beeping noise that occurs as soon as I put the car into reverse. I'm just glad there's an easy way to turn the sensors on/off quickly for those of us with two individual garage doors.

Well, call me a city boy as I thought a Pony was a young horse. What makes a Pony a Pony? Is there a size difference? Glad to hear that you moved. They showed perma-frost on the Alaska show and how a mess it can be with global warming. Who would have thought putting gravel over it would keep it from thawing! I think I'll stay in Palm Springs..... the coldest we get at night is in the 40's in the winter.... every once in a while we hit freezing but for just a very short time. I think the last time we had snow was in the 1930's (from what I hear, I wasn't born until the late 50's) . Mark156
2008 Corolla makes noice during backup when cold
by mingxun on Wed Nov 05 12:12:10 PST 2008
I bought a 2008 corolla at the end of last year (2007). I found that if the temperature is cold like 30 or 40F, when I reverse to backup my car, I could hear some noice, like metal clicking sound. When the car is warm or outside temperature is warm, this won't happen. So the whole spring and summer is OK. Now the winter is coming, I am hearing the noice again. I want to see if other people has similar experience or know the explanation. Thanks.

The BATTERY ???????? Were you having any problems with your battery? Mine appears to be perfect. I haven't had ANY start or other electrical issues. Testing with a volt meter shows 12.5 volts. Also, throughout the warmer months.......Spring and Summer.........I had NO issues with the power door locks or windows. Did the dealer mess with your electrical system BEFORE the new master switch was installed? Last night, I removed the master switch from the truck and brought it inside the house, where it's warm. I re-installed it this morning. It works perfect. In a little while, after sitting in the cold, I am sure it will stop working. I will let you know.
Gotta Get Me Some Global Warming

Today here in upstate NY we are expecting a foot of snow. What's up with that? Where is all that wonderful GW I've been hearing about? Would all you SUV owners please drive up here and rev your engines until spring returns? Come quick, I'm getting chilly.
02 Trialblazer
by 02tblazer on Mon Oct 27 21:15:20 PDT 2008
Me and my girlfriend have had our 02 TB for 1yr. we got it from an individual who claimed it had 30,000m. on it, Also said that there was no problems with the suv. So we believed him and went on to purchase the truck. we got it in the winter and it drove great. then along come spring and I noticed the temp hand getting warm, come to find out it had a bad clutch fan and a blown head gasket. We had a small shop fix it $1800.00 (outch). Also got a new waterpump $150 new thermostat $50. So after that we now find out it had a bad torque converter. In the mix of all this we go to a toyota dealership to try an trade it on a 4runner, they pull a carfax on our trailblazer and is had been wrecked in a front-end collison. We find out also on the carfax that it really had 120,000 miles on it. So the instrument cluster had been changed. But to make a long story short everytime we fix something on it, something else goes wrong with it, and the repairs are very expensive. What do we do. Anyone have any advice. PLEASE HELP. And, today I went to the gas station an got $5 in gas and drive to my friends house to leave, and the junk wouldn't start. I think I pumped water. will find out tomorrow.
