and did not buy the HH for business in 2007, ended up with a 4Runner. However, I did purchase a HH 4wd last night and after reading the latest comments feel it will serve me perfectly well for my personal use in mild winter weather country.
2009 Highlander Hybrid

Picking mine up today. MSRP $41,679 / Purchase for $37,500. Blizzard Pearl 4wd. Wanted leather, but didn't want all the other goodies that the Limited seem to have as mandatory options. So this one is the base hybrid with the Popular Plus Pkg, Auto Dual Zone Climate Control, Auto Rear A/C, floor mats (carpeted and all-weather and the factory tow hitch w/ wiring harness. Traded a Camry Hybrid with 63,000 miles and was given close to KBB "Private Party Value" Overall I'm extreemly happy to have the HH. Look forwards to posting here.

Solar not much good for charging vehicles overnight. Excess solar captured during the day could be sold to the utilities to reduce daytime peak need and then purchased back when needed at night to charge up our EV's. I would think that this would greatly help in reducing our need for further central generation capacity. The only time that local power storage would be needed would be as a back up in case of a utility outage.
Re: 2009 328ci SULEV Fuel Pump [shipo]

The seconary pump-the one outside the tank-failed on my E28 535is at @120,000 miles. A cheap and easy fix, hoever. Other than that, no fuel pump failures on any of my FI cars going back to 1983. That said, I have heard that the fuel pumps on the N54s can be problematic. I think his dealership is not only crooked, but they are trying to scare him into a new car. Kind of like the thieves who charge over $150 for an oil service to encourage owners to extend their service contract or flip the car for a new one.
Oil dropped under $55 today, down over $2

We have already seen $1.71 RUG in central Indiana. We were $1.59 for most of 2003. Trouble is that even if $2 gas was here to stay for several years, many will not buy V8's anymore. That kills profits for the big 3. Ford has a new F-150 with great features but we are all scared of high gas now. The Flex gets 24 mpg hwy and that was called impressive in TV ad recently. A month later it makes more sense.
