Re: Anyone seen a 2007 Spec Scion tc? [autoboy16]
by karport on Tue Aug 22 20:57:47 PDT 2006
As I mentioned the seat fabric on the spec is different, however I did notice any difference in comfort. I am however rather slight of build. I was not aware that side curtin airbags were standard and thought those remain an option. The original premise of your question was if the difference in price of between the spec and the base model would leave you with a significantly different car. My assessement was intended to be as objective as I could be pointing out the major differences in the trim and equipment. Candidly if the interior makes that big of a difference, get the spec model and get leather seats. I priced them this morning from a place that specializes in custom interior upgrades for cars. (they do that for dealerships. The price difference between the spec just about covers that cost.
Re: creeking noise in rear windshield area [sniper13oy]
by smarino613 on Tue May 16 18:18:57 PDT 2006
I have a civic coupe ex with 500 miles on it and I have the same noise. The car goes to the dealer tomorrow. I'll let you know what they say. Does the noise go away when the right side rear seat is down? My noise sounds like it is coming from the head curtin airbag area. I climbed into the back seat and slamed the seat a few times and every time I was able to recreate the same exact noise, also banging on the rear right side head rest will also cause the sound. Other than that the car is unreal, it replaces my 2003 civic coupe. This is my 6th civic that I have owned. My first was a 1988 crx, my first brand new car and it was a lemon, leaked water on the pass side of the car, lots of water. after four attempts by the dearler to fix it american honda stepped in and took the car back and gave me a 1989 crx, I have been loyal ever since.
Re: RAV4 Pricing in South Florida (Miami) [devlo]
by sandyo on Wed Apr 26 09:41:12 PDT 2006
Look at a few other prices. I checked out 4 places and the larger places had better prices than the 2 smaller places. I believe all rav's had the roof rack and 50 state emissions that I looked at. I was pricing base 4x4 v4 at under 21k. I wanted side curtin airbags so I paid a little more. I'm up north tho.

Hi tinatina, I'm in Massachusetts so it's a wee bit of travel for you to head over here to look around!! The MSRP was $23509. and I got for $21579. The gold is very pretty. I wanted the v6 limited but I had to give up a few luxuries to keep my current life style. I think I'm going to put in an aftermarket moonroof though. Do any of you moonroofers consider it too noisey? It's funny, I've been back and forth at this one lot for 2 weeks and I've seen 5 Rav's get sold in that time. 6 if you include me. I test drove it within 2 hours after it came off the truck. I was holding out for light colored with curtin airbags and no 3rd row for under 23k. I hope I'll be happy, its my 1st toyota and my 1st suv. My mini van days are over! The kids have all grown.
Re: V6 Sport 4wd [neox223]
by jamesb4 on Wed Apr 05 09:33:15 PDT 2006
Hey neox223, I am in Philly and just picked up Rav Sport 4wd 4 cylinder. The sticker price was $26,329 I got the dealer down to $23,329. All it takes is a little negotions. At first the saleswomen was not working with me at all, so I got out of my seat and said that I will go somewhere where they will help me. I had her and her manager running after me out the door. They sat me down and it was smooth sailing from there. Never tell them what you can pay a month because they maybe able to go lower than that. Just be patient. I know that you are all stoked on getting this new ride but don't jump to quick because they will win. Listen, they are not selling you the car, the car is selling itself, they are just there to try to make some money. Remember you are the customer: The customer is always right. So I ended up getting a Black 2006 Rav Sport 4x4 with the JBL 6 disc stereo ststem, front airbags, seat air bags, side curtin airbags, tenau cover w/cargo net, moonroof, stereo controls on the steering wheel. Overall I am very satisfied with the vehicle. I know the traffic is pretty bad in SO CAL. It is not bad on gas. I drive to Princeton, NJ to work everyday and it is all stop and go (it sucks) but gas wise is gets about 25 mpg in those conditions, but the V6 will get alittle less. Well good luck with your purchase. -Late JBREZ
V6 4x4 Limited
by robkruns on Mon Mar 20 11:35:48 PST 2006
I got quoted 34,748 for a 4x4 V6 Limited with the following: Daytime Running Lights Side Curtin Airbags Rear Spoiler JBL Stereo Tow Hitch and Sunroof I went in, today, to work on this deal, but was told that the price offered included a $1000 rebate that couldn't be combined with the special lease money factor of 0.00055 (tier 1). The thing that gets me is that in several quotes the $1000 rebate was mentioned, yet never was it said that it couldn't be combined with the lease rate. I even went out of my way to ask if the $34,748 price was the same for purchase versus lease and mentioned the .00055 money factor... Edmunds pricing states that the invoice is about $35,624. The dealer is claiming that the without the 1K rebate he is still $500 under invoice...funny. I walked out...I do want to buy this Any thoughts?? I am thinking they should split the difference or come down to a real $500 under invoice.
