No More Brake Problems, We Sold The 05 Aerio SX

We discovered our brake problem, right front brake, when out on vacation, on the northeast side of Mt.Saint Helens, 9:30 p.m., just trying to make it down the hill to the campsite, the pads were toast at 16,000 miles, and there was so much heat being transmitted to the wheel bearing, even the mag wheel was hot to the touch. We traded the car in on an Infiniti G-35 Sports Coupe and took a big loss, however, we feel better about getting that Suzuki out of our hair. Suzuki can go fish. We will never buy any more of their products!

Hey, that's the home of Gifford Pinchot. I checked out the residence on Wikipedia... very cool! The National Forest named after him is about 2 hours away from me, and Mount Saint Helens is within its boundary.

The eco types tend to almost totally ignore the examples you have brought up. I bet not many of those folks can remember, let alone cite the dates of more recent events like the eruption of Mt. Saint Helen's , Hurricane Katrina, Indonesian Tsunami. Hawaii is a live bubbling volcano (can they spell TOXIC 24/7 EMISSIONS?) . The lighting of the Kuwait Oil Fields by the just recently executed President for life Hussein, etc, etc.. Shoot even 9/11!? Indeed there have been OVER 2000 nuclear explosions between US, Russia, China that is commonly (or probably uncommonly) known. Not that anyone takes ANY pleasure in these tragedies, but over all they even complain there are still too many people.

Even tried to induce pinging by lugging the car a bit while climbing Mt Saint Helens - engine was clearly laboring, but no pings (regular fuel). 'course, the brakes have never squeaked, the hatch has always closed nicely, and have never seen the Check Engine light illuminate except on start-up. I'll probably regret saying all that! Paul - just took some out-of town guests for a weekend trip - drove in on the east side (Windy Ridge) Friday, back around to spend the night in Castle Rock (El Compadre - Muy bueno!), then in from the west to Johnston Ridge the next day. Total miles from north Seattle: 530. Will spend a night in Humboldt County (Eureka - staying near Old Town, overlooking the bay), SF (2 nites), Big Sur, Morro Bay, then the long haul back to Seattle. A big "thumbs-up" for the AWP - especially in places like Seattle. Even used the mirror heaters in the mountains last week. Funny thing was explaining to the San Antonio Nissan dealer why I wanted a Maxima with an AWP - until I told him I was moving back to Seattle - viewed as the "frozen north" in south Texas. Cheers!
