Maintenance & Repair

claremore, OK Car Consumer Discussions

Really experienced dealer by prairiegirl on Tue Oct 27 10:41:43 PDT 2009

Does anyone know of a really experienced Jeep diesel mechanic in the Tulsa area? Love my dealer in Claremore and have had very good experiences with other vehicles. But, they themselves admit they don't work on diesel Liberty very often.

Recalls by prairiegirl on Wed Sep 06 12:46:38 PDT 2006

Ok, last week received the emissions recall. Called today for an appointment. They told me the lower ball joint recall had just appeared online (at the dealership) today. Mine is recalled. BUT, no parts. LOL. They said parts will be slow in coming because it is a massive recall. They hope to have my parts within the next two weeks. Since it's an '06 with only 3500 miles I'm not worried about a couple of weeks or even months. I told them it shudders occasionally. They will check that out as well but also told me it would be officially noted and if nothing was found at this time, it would still be covered even if whatever it is breaks after the warranty period. I don't have the extended warranty but was considering buying it. Maybe I won't need it afterall. My dealership (Claremore Oklahoma) has been beautiful to work with over the past several years and they seems to be just as interested in this vehicle. Incidentally - Love this little jeep! MPG is 24.1 on short trips. No long ones yet.

Big tire time by tjray on Fri Feb 06 18:10:25 PST 2004

I'm shopping for tires and considering BFG's. How are yours holding up, Tom? Tjray

Vet rebate question by tjray on Mon Feb 02 17:20:48 PST 2004

I watched the Jeep buildup on TRUCKS. I liked it when the kid got baptized in the mudhole. It made me want to take my top off and get dirty. Anyway, I have a question. My boss at work is buying a new Wrangler after a year of talking about it and, being a vietnam vet, he would like the extra $500 rebate, but he can't locate his discharge papers. Does anyone know how to get a copy if you've lost your originals? Tjray

Wish list by tjray on Thu Jan 29 19:10:55 PST 2004

I believe Hi-lift has a jack mount for under the hood on a TJ. I'm working on a wish list myself. By Spring, I hope to have 33's,a 3 or 4" lift, and front and rear bumpers with tire carrier. And a cat-back exhaust system. Yes, that ought to do it! Tjray
