Low mileage .. take two: by michaell on Wed Nov 12 13:11:09 PST 2008; I suspect I may be in GG's shoes here in the not too distant future. My mother-in-law's husband passed away last month and left a couple of vehicles behind that she wants to sell. The first is a '49 Willys-Overland Jeepster - I've been keeping folks updated in the "Project Cars" thread. The other vehicle is a '97 Grand Cherokee Limited. 5.2L V8. White with gray leather interior. Custom 10-disk CD changer. MIL doesn't really need it (she's got a '98 Eldorado that is hers), so she's thinking of selling it next month. They live in Cheyenne, WY and so they don't drive very much. I was talking with her earlier today and was asking her how many miles it had on it. I was figuring about 5K per year for a total of 50K miles. Her answer - 28,000 miles! Still has the original tires, which in my opinion need to be replaced. I know all the maintenance has been done on it - I'm sure there is a file folder somewhere that has it all organized in chronological order. Edmunds prices it (private party) at $4300. However, here in the mountain west, SUV's still bring decent money, so I was thinking that it could be listed at $6995. Thoughts?

What's interesting is that the repair invoice is from the Cadillac / Buick / Pontiac / GMC / Subaru / Nissan / Suzuki dealership in Cheyenne. I guess there wasn't an independent repair shop in town that could (or would) do the work. I'll write up the ad and post on craigslist (both in Denver and Wyoming) and see what kind of hits I get. Perhaps I'll post a draft here (like q did for the Alfa) and have you guys comment on it.

I am probably the least mechanically inclined person who posts to this board. Plus, the Jeepster is in Cheyenne and I'm 150 miles away. The idea is to sell it to someone as-is - a restoration that was interrupted by illness.

1995 Chevy 1500 extcab 4x4 5 speed Standard: by soldiers47 on Sat Feb 02 12:06:42 PST 2008; I have a 1995 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 4x4 ExtCab 5speed standard, it has a manual floor shifter, when I put the shifter into high 4x4 it wont engage and no light, but when I put it into low 4x4 it engages but still no light comes on...this is frustrating..any answers would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
