I'm in Maryland and the dealership is Jones Nissan in Bel Air. It took me about 3 weeks to work the deal. The sales guy was very nice and didn't take it personally at all. His name is Ray, you can't miss him. good luck.

If you think our Liberal government will not steal your property. Google Riviera Beach Florida. Jerry Jones new stadium, biggest and best, home of the Dallas Cowboys in 2009 used Eminent Domain to attain the property. So is this just a LIBERAL thing?

that does sound wierd. like an indiana jones relic. well please post the info you get from the dealer, I can't wait to see the residual on an 07 that is essentially two years old before it gets on the street. I can't imagine that car is going to pencil for a lease at all. If you figured a new one will depreciate 47% in three years (based on 53% residual), lets be super kind and say it depreciates 1/3 of that each year (which can't be true, it would be more heavily weighted on the first year and a half). In that super generous example, it depreciates 15.6% a year. So in a petri dish, 10k off seems reasonable. Facts are it is 2 model years old so technically it has depreciated 2 years already right? Thats 16,500 of value already gone, poof. My guess is that car was off the road for several months in a body shop on a bad test drive!!! What dealer still has an 07! Tell us! Sales must really be down there!
Re: Cerberus and GM together is a dreadful idea! [fezo]

You are correct but if there is a meaningful and far reaching plan to close plants and buy out the affected workers and at the same time revamp the entire line up of products, then the investment would be worth it and the customers would see anew entity that would mean something again so no fear to buy their product. Dumping $50B into an industry that is so inefficient without drastic change is insanity. The merger seems dead now but there is some talk of an acquisition... DETROIT -(Dow Jones)- General Motors Corp. (GM) warned Friday that it risks running out of cash in the first half of next year without government intervention or a reversal of weakening market conditions. The largest U.S. auto maker also indicated that merger talks with No. 2 Chrysler LLC had ended and it was focused on boosting its precarious liquidity position through an extra $5 billion in cuts and savings. The warning is the starkest to date by GM as global auto makers struggle to align with collapsing sales in Europe and North America and softening emerging- market conditions. Without government intervention, a significant increase in auto sales or " substantial" proceeds from asset sales, GM said its liquidity will reach minimum levels required by the end of 2008 after burning through $6.9 billion in the September quarter. Rick Wagoner, chairman and chief executive, continued to shrug off speculation that the company may file for bankruptcy protection, telling CNBC it hoped Congress would act to support the industry during its lame-duck session. He said cash-burn during the fourth quarter would fall to levels seen in the first half of 2008. The prospect of a demand-led recovery look slim, focusing attention on industrywide efforts to secure government support on both sides of the Atlantic. The plan to merge GM and Chrysler had reportedly hit a stumbling block owing to the lack of financing. The end of any merger talks leaves the companies with one less option to deal with the current crisis. Chrysler Chief Executive Bob Nardelli in a statement Friday declined to confirm that merger talks had taken place. He said he continues to focus on returning Chrysler to profitability. "We are significantly challenged by today's economic environment and by the automotive industry's unprecedented downturn," Nardelli said in the statement Friday. "As an independent company, we will continue to explore multiple strategic alliances or partnerships as we investigate growth opportunities around the world that would aid in our return to profitability." Re: Advice on 2009 GL450 [alo2]

I would like to know more about how one can purchase a new car below MSRP, especially an 09 GL. Perhaps if you're not fussy about the color and options, they may be willing to make a deal. I agree, high-volume dealerships are the place to start. Fletcher-Jones are known for great deals. There are three MBZ dealers in So Cal known for offering better prices: Walter's Mercedes Benz in Riverside, South Bay Mercedes in Torrance, and of course Fletcher-Jones, as you have mentioned. I might suggest obtaining quotes from all three at the beginning of Dec, then perhaps approaching Laguna Niguel and asking if they can offer a better price. With the Winter Event, hopefully they'll be offering factory to dealer incentives at get us below that MSRP. I'm planning on purchasing the GL 320 at that time. I would like to hear your views and experience on this topic. Thanks again and best of luck!

LOL! You got "FLEECED" by the dealer because You (YOU!) agreed to a price before and without doing due diligence! Are you familiar with the term "Caveat Emptor"? Did you expect the dealer to say to you "I'm sorry Mr.Jones your offer to do this deal is much higher than what we in good conscience as owners of a non tax exempt, for profit business operating in a free market economy can accept in good conscience.Give us a moment to come up with a counter offer at a lower, much more reasonable price" !!!!
