Re: Color me confused [pf_flyer]

So the basic concept of running a current through water and sending the hydrogen to an engine hasn't been property marketed or commercially applied yet. SO WHAT? I found out about it on Friday night on a rude and crude installation and was blown away by how simple it is. Then I went on the internet and used my own discernment to see through the snake oil and get down to the basic integrity of the HHO/gasoline hybrid concept. Other people are finding out about the HHO/gasoline hybrid concept right now by reading this and other forums. All I can tell them is watch an HHO/gasoline hybrid system work. Come to your own conclusions. It is unbelievable simple, and there's no need to let the "experts" baffle you with bull about thermodynamics unvolitalized hydrocarbons and dynamometric hooey. The "experts" have always stood in the way of true creativity and great ideas. Science is great, but not when it's used to obstruct simple elegance. The grand and glorious physics professor and assistant secretary of the Smithsonian Samuel Pierpont Langley splashed into the Potomac with his version of a flying machine. Orville and Wilbur were bicycle mechanics who never went to college. I don't even have to use their last name to make my point!

Re: Powerlock malfunction on 2006 Forester [mtnman73]
by jhapper on Sat Jul 19 11:24:48 PDT 2008
My 2006 Forester just developed the following problem. My drivers door cannot be remotely locked or unlocked. My tail gate door cannot remotely be unlocked - it will lock remotely. My passenger doors can all be remotely locked and unlocked. I took the car into Wolffe's in Langley yesterday and they told me that I need to replace both drivers door and tailgate locking mechanism modules.

I'm at a complete loss as to why they would have replaced some of the components you've listed for a stalling problem, but I hope they didn't charge you for them! There is still a recall action for 97 to 99 CRV's concerning the ignition switch. I phoned Honda this morning to check, and found one of my customers still has an outstanding claim for the switch, so she will be going to Honda to have it replaced for free! If you're CRV falls into that year span, I strongly suggest making sure your ignition switch has been replaced before any more useless repairs are made. Just phone the service department, give them your VIN number, and ask if your vehicle qualifies for the recall. If all else fails and if you are in the Langley, BC area, give me a call and we can work it out before the stork arrives!

I own a repair facility in Langley and have several customers who have recently reported this problem. I believe we have found the solution. It seems common that the ignition switch is the root of this problem. It is a relatively inexpensive repair. In some cases however it has been found that the distributor, which contains the control module for the ignition, can also be at fault. I suggest going to a reputable shop and having the ignition switch replaced first. It appears that Honda is considering a recall for this problem, so I would also considering phoning Honda and inquire about the ignition switch. Some people have even had Honda pay for the part.

Nice batch... Newport looks like a fair deal I bet the 66 Ford wagon owner wants a mint for it - people who use NADA as an old car reference are always dreamers. Corvair is a parts car, but good for that. Monte seller is on crack For some reason I like the Lada Niva, and I liked the old school Signet models for their Fiat styling and crudity, but the Samara was atrocious. I remember I would see a green Niva every time I was in old town Langley. It surely can't be worth that much. Eldo looks like a fair deal too. Rolls is a suicidal money pit, but the price is decent. I suspect based on the year that it's a grey market import. Frankencamaro is hideous. The Mazda wagon is pretty cool. Why do people want to restore a Mustang II? This isn't the first I've seen where someone bothered.
