Read back a little of the history on this site and I think you'll find a major concurrance...replace the hateful Bridgstone's with Continental Conti Pro Contact RFT's (about $160 at tirerack.com) and you'll think you died and went to heaven.
European Fords

Verdugo, I couldn't agree with you more. I don't usually follow what is being offered overseas but your praise of the Mondeo, Fiesta, and Kuga intrigued me enough to google for more information. I think all three are desperately needed here in North America and would be a huge success for Ford. I hope they are moving heaven and earth to get products like these over here as quickly as possible. Next summer I will be in the market for a sedan in the mid $30k range. It disappoints me that there's not a domestic model on my top ten list of candidates. Nothing worth serious consideration to a 35 year old looking for something that is a happy balance of sport and luxury. Personally I don't believe that there is a tangible quality gap between foreign and domestic as I have been very pleased with the domestic trucks and SUVs that we have owned. Bailouts might provide enough oxygen to get through the tough times but compelling product will ensure ultimate success. By basically slapping two extra doors on the old Bronco II and calling it the 1991 Explorer, FMC in my opinion set off the SUV craze that spanned a good 15 years. Detroit can do it; I hope they will again with some interesting sedans.
New TL Tech Pkg

Hello: I have been driving my '09 TL with Tech package for a week. Trade up from an '07. I have to say it is really an awesome and awe-inspiring car. Yes, it's all techno-geeked up, but that's one of the things I really like about it. Second, the Ipod connection is the best in class, period. It really rocks through the 10 speaker 440W system - though fresh ripped CDs right to the hard are at a level of incredible crystal clarity. Third, my car is my mobile office and the cell phone blue tooth telephony system is heaven sent. No more squinting at my Blackberry trying to voice dial a number in bumper traffic going 75! Scrolling through address book so fast, that it makes voice dialing ala the '07 TL feel positively ancient. I like that Acura softened up the ride, quieted the cabin somewhat, and switched tires. I only have 750 miles on it and I am already getting 27.5 mpg on the highway and 20+ around town. Wishes: 1) Power rear sunshade and manual sides shades (Acura's pretty dumb to hold these back on a $40K vehicle.) 2) Heated & Cooled Ventilated Seats - at least for the front. Acura are you listing? wloven@austin.rr.com

I strongly advise you to take a test drive in a current 328i model; specify that you want one with Sport Package and do not want to drive one with adaptive steering. I think it will put a smile on your face, as will the feel and thickness of the wonderful sport steering wheel. Heaven!!! Isn't that sport steering wheel a tactile treat? So delightfully meaty!

Looking at the comments from lookers at the bottom of the page on the Ghia, makes me wonder if some were posted by friends of the seller or the seller himself. I've seen quite a few praising various auctions and so on, but some seem so obviously fake. Stutz: I never liked those. I dopn't think it's weven worth restoring. Aunt's Corolla: neat little car, it has some charm in it, and looks like it's in mint shape, nice! The junkyard auction is funny. I guess the owner had a Z car heaven (like what some of us here were talking about few months ago- preserving cars from the crusher). Interesting to see so many in one place. Fishbowl look mint too: like a time machine into the 70s! The last listing which is the donky looking Olds 98, is anyone surprised it's got no bids? Also If I were a seller and put so much money into it, I'd take the effort of spoending 30 minutes, to drive it somewhere nice (away from the dumpster, and wedged between 3 other cars), and actually take normal photos of it. I mean there isn't a decent side shot of the car. I take better photos of our used $5k Sunfires and Aveos we put on our website. :confuse:

Sure. Glad to do it! :) Yes! The current BMW steering is wonderful, the best yet; especially appreciated after coming from the adaptive steering of the VW, which happened to be a bit too loose when first putting the vehicle into motion. I never would have bought this particular 328i if it had the adaptive steering. The fact that BMW offers it shows how far away they have come from strictly offering vehicles to enthusiasts. Most folks who drive BMW's here just do it to show off their status badges anyway, I guess. So BMW gives them what they want. BMW is surely not alone-even Porsche offers Tiptronic transmissions. :( I strongly advise you to take a test drive in a current 328i model; specify that you want one with Sport Package and do not want to drive one with adaptive steering. I think it will put a smile on your face, as will the feel and thickness of the wonderful sport steering wheel. Heaven!!! ;)
