great deal

Just leased 08 new X3, base model from Braman in Miami. Wasn't even looking at this vehicle but saw an ad and went to see if it was a bait. It wasn't. MSRP 39125, 24 MONTHS, 10000 per year, 359+tax. At signing only first month and taxes, total 723. I usually go thru the whole inquiry process of cap cost, mfactor etc, but it was clear that this was a great price. You need the owner incentive. The residual was 75% and I can't positively quote the Mfactor, but I think the incentive was for .0004 (.96% interest rate). This was after returning an 05 volvo s60 and was looking at an S40, but was quoted best price for a base S40 at $385 per month. Not much of a chance anyone goes for that-maybe that is why no one was there on a Saturday while the BMW dealer was loaded with customers.

We got the 328i with automatic, metallic paint, and premium package. I don't think you can post the name of the salesperson. Instead I can tell you that if you go to the braman bmw web site and look under the Departments tab then under Sales Advisors, he is the second from your left in the second row. Tell him Rudy sent you.

Update. A friend of mined referred a salesperson at Braman Motors who was excellent. I called the salesperson and they found the exact car in inventory and I gave him my price of $36k (+ tax, tag, fees). He told me he could do the price but wanted to know when I would buy. I told him I would be there the next day. He said I will see you tomorrow with your brand new BMW. At this point I thought he was just trying to get me into the showrrom to try and wear me down until I agreed to a higer price. When we got to the showroom he asked us if we wnated some water which we agreed to and then he disappeared. I thought to myself, here we go, he 's going to have us just sit arounf forever until we give in. Then about 20 minutes later he shows up and asks us to walk outside to see the car. He wanted to make sure that the one he had was exactly what we wanted. Once we saw it we went back to his desk and he asked me what price I wanted to pay. I reminded him it wsa $36K and he said ok how do you want to pay for it. That was it. No bulls**t back and forth just a simple easy transaction. It was so easy I couldn't take the smile of my face. I truly wish all my car buying experiences coudl have gone like this.

According to the dealer I was at, Braman Honda in Miami, the Accord sales are very strong and Honda has no reason to lower rates. We'll see.

Trying To Stay with Audi But Prices Are Crazy High
by bondguy1 on Thu Mar 06 22:24:17 PST 2008
I am coming to the end of my second Audi A6. I had an 02' A6 with CVT 3.0 engine. Great car. I am now driving a leased A6 05' 3.2 Quattro with NAV, Keyless feature, Sirius Radio, Voice Command, the upgraded leather (door panels), the upgraded 18" wheels from sport pkg without the sport package. It is black exterior with ameretto interior...beautiful car. Going to Audi dealers, they seem to not care at all that I'm a previous Audi customer. They won't charge me the disposition on my current car and no security deposit (I think about $550) on the new car. I am currently paying $625 month plus tax...I get 15K miles/year on a 36 month lease and I only gave them a total of $1,000 at start including my first month's payment and tax and everything or anything else they wanted to call it...$1,000 total to dealer and I drove off the lot. Now, I'm getting for a similarly equipped car quotes of $750 to $800/month plus tax. Why so much more? I thought all the banks were in a credit crunch and would be more willing to deal on cars. I know the programs just changed starting in March...I know they are still giving $1,500 off for leasing. If somebody knows of an Audi dealer that is willing to deal on price, please let me know. I am in the South Florida area (near Champion Motors, Prestige Audi, etc). My experience has never been good at all with Prestige Motors whether servicing my car or for getting a new car there. The last one I got was from Braman in West Palm Beach based on price. Any help would be appreciated and I will travel to get the car...not as far as California but somewhere in the Southern area. Thanks.
