rear speaker

I do have the Audiophile system, I had the dealer diagnose the problem and he said the amp is out. Is there a way to bypass the amp or by an aftermarket one, I did not price buying the amp from them but he did say it would be $350 for them to fix it. one thing I have not tried is checking the ground to the amp, I will do that before I spend any money.
NORMAL???

I have owned my 2000 LS (45000 miles) for 10 days now, I have had to put 2 coils on it, replace both valve cover gaskets, and all 8 coil/plug boots because they were soaked in oil, my amp is out on my stereo, my Trans. shifts from park to reverse hard first thing in the morning but after I go to drive it will perform ok. Is this the norm for a Ls?? If so I am not sure I can afford to drive one, the warranty ran out On 6-1-04

I have a 2000 LS with alpine audiophile radio, My rear deck speakers are not working. I have checked my plugs at the amp, I have one hot wire, should I be able to find a another wire hot when I turn my radio on to power up the amp? I also can not find any wire to power a speaker, the wires I believe to be speaker wires will not make a sound when I hook them to a speaker that have around the house. Any ideas???
