Did you ever consider anger management classes? A classic line from Shakespeare applies: you "protest too much." To repeat, I've owned Hondas for a quarter of a century with NO problems. As for minivans, don't get me started on our original Plymouth Voyager. Talk about Ringling Brothers: what a joke! Dude, did you even test drive a Fit before you trashed it? Maybe you should begin to "listen to the stock market" a little more: you might make some $ by investing in Honda products....

And how long have you been working for Ringling Brothers? If you are one of THOSE people who only buy imports than you are a idiotic misguided media whore. I don't listen to the stock market. I make my own decisions based on my judgement. After owning a Honda Odyssey that had to have two transmsiion rebuilds before the 20k mile mark ( along with rotor replacement, dash rattles, DVD player skipping, oil leaks), I do know about Honda so called misconception about quality. Its a lie!

I did go with another brand--the Infiniti M45 Sport. I was very turned off by the sales practices of the many Chrysler dealers that I dealt with. More tricks than a Ringling Brothers Circus. The bottom line is that, with the 300 C SRT8, unless you are having in cash, you will end up spending as much on the car as for cars costing $15000 more.

Incidentally, I parked next to a Mazda 3 today. At the same time I saw a Mazda 6 wagon. The Mazda 6 is what the 3 should have been. The Mazda 6 is sharp. So is the Mazda 5. Looks like the designers at Mazda made the 3 its neglected red-haired stepchild - the 3's bulbous, Jabba-the-Hut type body has Ringling Brothers written all over it. I was waiting for the clowns to come out of the car. With its bulging hoodline, if the 3 were a pro athlete, it would be banned from the league for steroids. At least the 6 and the 5 exhibit the smooth, flowing, European automobile-like shape. The designers beat the 3 with the ugly stick. If my old military unit saw the 3 driving out on the road, our A-10 aircraft tank killer (equipped with a 30mm gatling gun with armor-piercing shells) would use the 3 for target practice. The 3 may go fast or handle great, but that's because the car is so homely that it has to run away from its own looks. Other than that, the 3 is a decent ride. But remember, clown car or not - The GTI is the originator, the definition of the hot hatch (as much as people are in denial) - the facts are there. And according to most auto magazines and automotive experts around the world - The GTI still defines the hot hatch - Ford 3/Mazda Focus or not. No matter how reliable the 3 is, it will always play second-fiddle to the GTI in the hearts and minds around the world... ;) Like it or not...

You asked..."I did suggest she take my '99, but she says she can't see herself driving a bright red car. Otherwise, she'd actually be tempted to. What's wrong with bright red anyway?" This may go way back to an earlier time when "ladies" wouldn't be caught dead in a red car. That was in the days when fast women (not fast female drivers) drove red cars. Especially those who have had more one-night-stands than Ringling Bros.Circus. I think your wife should get a white Pro5. White cars, other than being cooler inside, also present a neutral image...neither fast nor slow. ;) fowler3

Mike, My CD player locked up just like yours. Same ERR 2 message. It must mean: "I'm jammed and get used to your radio again because it may take 6 wks to get a new changer". I even took my changer out completely to see if I could break the Cd's out. Once I got the changer out, (which was actually easy), I didn't have the guts to disassemble the changer. It had too many tiny springs and screws to lose. They had to change my changer for a new one and send the broken one to Clarion to free my CDs which were then sent back to me. Hope you have some good stations. Donszj, That is atrocious mileage even for this vehicle. I tend to drive aggressively and have never gotten less than 15.7mpg. Typically get 16-17mpg. LE 4x4 2001. I assume yours is a AWD. Could it be locked in 4wd all of the time? You aren't working for Ringling Bros and towing an elephant or two are you? BTW how do you figure your mileage?
