Re: '08 Santa Fe Limted FWD radio seems fine [oscar_gata]
by evwahoo on Sat Nov 01 06:17:31 PDT 2008
Just bought the 2008 Santa Fe and my wife and I cannot believe how annoying the interference is from the stereo at low volumes. I took it into the dealer and the deaf servicemen could not hear the problem. The service manager knew nothing about stereos, could not hear it, and blamed it on something else. PLEASE PLEASE, can someone who has had this problem tell me how they fixed it? Has anyone tried replacing amplifier with an aftermarket one? Email Evwahoo@aol.com for solution...

If you bought the high-end Rear Seat entertainment package you can use that system's input jacks to get your songs to play through the speakers. You just need the right kind of cable. I forgot who thought this up but I thought it was clever.

It's still a better deal to take the $3500 rebate than 0% apr. you get your savings up front. And I got 5.5% financing, and the 3500 rebate, not bad at all. If you do the math, the rebate is better.
Re: Sunroof Won't Slide All The Way Open?, How far can your sunroof slide back? [hoo320]
by oscar_gata on Mon Oct 13 15:36:25 PDT 2008
My co-worker's Veracruz Limited has a sunroof. When the sunroof is all the way back, it is about 5 inches from the back of the opening and the sunshade will slide back another 2 inches. It looks like it must be designed that way, since you would not be able to use the sunshade's hand grip if it slid all the way back.

You can't compare the low apr deal you got with someone who took the cash rebate. Hyundai currently offers $3500 rebate or 0% apr plus $1000. Of course someone who took the $3500 rebate would have a lower out-the-door price versus your deal. But unless they had the cash in their checking account, they had to get an auto loan from someone who would have charged them more than the 0% you got.
