Honda Fit Commercial: by loncray on Thu Oct 09 06:45:12 PDT 2008; I saw an ad for the Honda Fit the other day; they had an early-60's fintail with teeth running around the streets looking very threatening - when it came upon a fit at an intersection, the Fit suddenly did a pufferfish imitation and turned into a spiky little balloon. The fintail ran away and the Fit turned back to normal and drove away. "Honda Fit is Go!" It was quick, funny, and original. Two thumbs up from me!

Re: Honda Odyssey GPS - not useable [sebring95]: by loncray on Tue Oct 07 07:23:50 PDT 2008; Maybe I just got lucky or maybe I just don't expect too much from my Navi, but I've never had those problems with the Navi in my wife's Odyssey (2007 I think). There are certainly roads not in the database, but that's to be expected when they're still building them now. I've never had it change routes like you mention, only when I take a different route than Navi recommended. And Navi saved my butt this summer on a trip to Cleveland to see the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - the ramp from the highway to our hotel was being resurfaced and Navi put together a great alternate route instantly - we never would've found it without Navi.

Re: To buy a navigation system [tennerc]: by loncray on Mon Aug 18 08:10:52 PDT 2008; Why? Because 'very poor' is in the eye of the beholder. I love the (OEM) Navi in my wife's Ody. While there are a few places in this quickly-developing area that are not in the database, they're not a big deal to me. Navi has saved our butts a few times while traveling and I'm very pleased with it. We also like the other bells and whistles the Touring came with, so the premium was worth it regardless of the Navi system. I don't need to put it in my truck; I've got road atlases for that.

Clicking Noise: by loncray on Mon Jul 14 11:16:07 PDT 2008; Good afternoon forum! My wife's 2007 Ody has been trouble-free until now (outside of a cut runflat tire). When we start it up, there is a fast-paced clicking sound coming from inside the panel in the right rear of the van. It lasts about 30 seconds and stops, and we haven't noticed anything else different. It happens whether or not we immediately drive off. The Ody is a 2007 Touring model with all the bells and whistles if that makes a difference. Does anyone know what this might be and if there is a fix I don't have to go to the dealer for? Thanks in advance!

She reaches into the front to answer the phone. As to the Toyota 'destroy your car' commercials, are they suggesting that folks not trade in their old cars? Or perhaps the folks Toyota is marketing to are too stupid to understand the trade-in concept? :P
