Did you get that deal in around Burbank, Burbank? That seems like a good deal. . . Can you PM me the name of the dealer or at least disclose where that deal was and which internet fleet manager you spoke to? I'm thinking of acquiring one too but they seem to only be concerned with the employee rate campaign until tomorrow . . .

I just came from my Cadillac dealer and got the following #'s and want to know what you guys think. I would like your opinion of the Cadillac Escalade lease deal I was just offered. Please let me know if this is a good deal please, or should I try to get it down a little. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. 2008 Escalade AWD with AWD Entertainment Collection- LOADED with DVD MSRP: 68420 Gross Cap Cost: 62191 Adjusted Cap Cost Reduction 58591 This is a SIGN AND DRIVE NOTHING OUT OF POCKET I am being offered a SIGN and DRIVE deal for 39 months at 12,000 miles/year lease with the dealer even paying the first month. The terms would leave me with 38 months left at $717 plus tax for a total of $760/month. I do not know the MF, but should I pull the trigger or is there more room to deal. Please let me know.

The silver HOV stickers are still available for the Natural Gas Vehicles. There is no limit on them (the limit is what cut off the stickers on the Hybrids). It is not the same, it is better. It allows free parking at meters in several southern California cities (LA, Santa Monica, and more). You are restricted to the time allowed to the meter (if it is a 2 hour meter, you get 2 hours of free parking, then you have to move the car). The Yellow stickers are only good until the end of 2008 or something, the silver ones are good until 2014 i believe (someone back me up on these). If she is driving 100 miles each way, make sure she has a home filling unit or a filling station near your home or office (Ideally you should be near on at both locations). I am paying $2.56 near my house, and $2.20 near my wife's work. Prices vary widely. Burbank is one of the cheapest stations, LAX is one of the most expensive. I think the most expensive right now is about $2.75 or $2.80. Rumor is that because the fuel is so much cleaner than Gasoline, there will be fewer deposits and less wear. Taxis and police cars seem to indicate that a life expectancy of about 400,000 mile to 500,000 miles if you take good care of it. The Fuel Filters cost a few hundred dollars to replace every 30,000 miles. The price has been dropping lately as it becomes wider knowledge that you don't need to replace the entire filter, just the insert. Other than that, it is about the same. If you buy used, do not buy a used GX between 2001 and 2006. The transmission is not very reliable.
Good deal--mine was similar

335xi sedan w/ $ 600 deposit lowering MF to .002, same mileage (10k/yr for 3yrs), therefore same residual, your equipment, plus Arctic metallic paint, plus cold weather, no sport, no paddle shifters, add park distance control, add remote entry device. I didn't put up a deposit when ordering. I ordered 12/28, took delivery 2/18 in Burbank, CA. Based upon info provided by several posters here (like Woody1241, #1736), I insisted upon Continental Conti Contact SSR RFTs as a condition of taking delivery. Guess what? The vehicle arrived with the tires I wanted. We actually had some rain in L.A. right after I took delivery and the traction and feel on wet surfaces is peerless with the AWD. I bought a fifth identical wheel and tire and keep it in the garage until and unless I drive over 300 miles, when I'll place it in the cargo area (rear seats fold forward). The spare is little expense, about $ 550, considering the peace of mind. My lease is $ 552/mo. prior to sales tax, based upon a cap cost $ 500 over invoice. FWIW, not one person has failed to remark favorably about Arctic metallic. In bright sun, the grey exhibits subtle hues of green and light blue, and it's not a "dark" color, which reduces the heat buildup factor.

I remember a huge amount of Japanese cars on the streets, and not many of the typical domestics of the time - even for California. That's one thing I really noticed in the old NBC episodes of "Mama's Family", whenever they'd do outdoor scenes on location. I'm guessing they just went out on location in Burbank or somewhere near the Warner Bros lot. In fact, I've actually seen the Mama's Family house in a T-mobile commercial, the one where the guy goes out to get the mail and the neighbor shouts "DEAD MAN WALKING". Still, for what was supposed to be a rural midwestern town, there were an awful lot of Japanese imports out on the streets!
