Oops, I meant I took a 2k road trip to Yellowstone. I'll probably be pushing daisies before I get to 200k. LOL

there's an awful yellow color in the Dining room & kitchen Heh, that looks an awful lot like the kitchen in our house did when we moved in. Except ours had bumblebee decals on the walls and cabinets. :D Nothing that a little paint can't fix - looks nice! I have to a link to a pic; forgot about the daisies on the cabinets. Whole walls have been moved since this was taken.

Not everyone posting here can be skipping through daisies. It's ying and yang. Joel balances out the good side and Deskman for the dark side. If we just had a bunch of squeeky clean salesmen running around in here then the balance would be offset and everyone would start thinking the good salespeople are the bad ones. Perhaps I am again being pessimistic, but I have a hard time believing anyone could be so arrogant and cold hearted. If deskman is indeed legit, I agree... let him post away. His dark and evil ways of selling cars will make the rest of you guys look like saints... and will be a heads up to us consumers in what to watch out for. edited: I edited out the offensive part of my previous post as to not offend deskman. aka: socala4 :surprise:

Passing on right is legal in CA. I would go so far to say as are MOST states (places). Having said that, I am old school trained as per your description. A much lower % of LL campers or even folks just using the left lane, will yield to an overtaking vehicle in the left lane anymore. Shoot I have seen folks totally oblivious to a fully coded highway patrol car (lights, sirens, PA SYSTEM!!! power to pull you over, arrest, etc.) I have long ago gone to passing on the left, right, etc. Rolling left lane road blocks can be a moments inattention away from multiple car incidents. Those are the kind of daisy chains I work to avoid.

"I'll buy between 38 and 42. People getting mileage in the 50's are driving miss daisy and pissing off other drivers. Either that or someone is towing them behind an SUV. " I disagree with the above. I do not have a Yaris, but I am easily able to get into the 35-38 MPG range with an '07 Accord 4-cyl automatic on my commute. My commute is 15 miles one way consisting of 1/3 city, 2/3 highway. I pretty much drive at the speed limit on all roads. Occasionally someone will get anxious because I accelerate slower than most. It comes down to getting feedback while driving, a Scangauge II in my case, in order to adjust your driving habits. I am what most consider a hypermiler. I do not shut the engine off while driving though. Most of the techniques are very easy to learn and use and take a couple of weeks to master. I am confident I could push a manual Yaris into the 50mpg range doing what I do now in my Accord.
