I paid $2.459/gallon for 87 octane unleaded (Exxon) gasoline in Baton Rouge, LA on 9-11-05. Although supply was a problem, prices never went above $2.639 in this area. I'm a little confused about why Philadelphia would be hit so hard by gas prices when they were completely unaffected by the hurricane. I personally know of four major oil refineries in that area (Valero - Paulsboro, NJ), (Sunoco - Marcus Hook, PA, Philadelphia, PA and Westville, NJ) unaffected by the hurricane and there are probably many more than that.

Just picked up my 2001 XZ3 from the dealership and am happy FINALLY! Have 55,000 miles and since 37,000 have had a "rubbing" noise in right front. After spending $ 303 for a hub bearing the noise is gone. I have experienced a lot of problems, usually the recalled items within 3 months of getting recall notices (battery cable, fuel pump, rear bearings, brakes @ 6500 and again at 48,000) but I love the car. Drives great and very comfortable on long distance drives, a/c works fine BUT cd changer acts up. With regard to the hub bearing, I was told that serious problems could arise (loss of steering, wheel fall off) if not taken care of promptly; I had it for 18,000 miles, go figure.

Sorry to hear about your accident hope you are ok. I own a 2000 Aspen White Pearl Glow Pathfinder bought in Jan of 2000 (13400 miles on it now) and a Sunlit Sand 2000 Max gle bought in July 99 (35000) miles on it now) both of these vehicles are metallic and I have not had any paint problems with either vehicle. If fact I always buy metallic light colors because they never show scratches or the horrible paint swirls you see on many non-metallic dark colored cars. Both have been through automatic car washes every Saturday and have only been waxed 4 times! I had a 96 max that was artic white metallic and I was in a 50 mile an hour almost head on crash (14000.00 in damage to the car. I did not have a scratch) The Body shop was Jim Boggs in Westville NJ they matched the paint perfectly. If you not happy with the paint job make them redo it. Mine was a perfect match yours should have been too!!
