Re: Odyssey EXL w/ RES & Nav [snowywin]

We purchased it from Richfield Bloomington Honda but Brookdale Honda was the first one to give us that price. I did not like the dealerships on the east side of the metro - they seemed a little slimy (wanting my drivers license even though I told them I was paying cash and also wanted me to sign a 'contract' saying I would buy it right then and there). If you have any questions let me know. Good luck!
Love the MT Fit Sport
by timctaylor69 on Sun Aug 17 18:42:59 PDT 2008
Keep plugging for the MT Fit Sport. I lucked into my silver MT Fit at Bloomington Richfield Honda in Richfield, MN. Stopped by on a Saturday in early April on a lark and they were just taking it off the truck. Brand new and was a transfer from another dealer for a car they traded to them for this Fit MT. Guy said it was not spoken for but you better drive it and buy it before someone else gets a look at it. Bought it that day and absolutely love it. Traded in a 2001 CRV with 120,000 on it. It won't light your hair on fire with speed but it makes up for it in utility. I have been tracking my real world mileage at Fuel Economy.gov and I do mostly city driving with only minimal highway. So far since April I am getting 34 mpg consistently every tank. Peace

Got my new EX today in Minneapolis / St Paul / Twin Cities. Bought from Richfield Honda although Hopkins and Brookdale would have matched. Here are the details: Price = $25,039.67 Tax 6.5% (MN) = $1,627.58 MN License = $376 MN Title/reg = $89.75 TOTAL OTD = $27,133 with Honda APR 2.9% (without APR would have been $1,000 less) Used the Donkeypunch method from post #16934, worked great.

Looks like a great deal! Was Richfield Honda the other one at $23,960? I am looking to buy an EX soon and they are my closest dealer. At $26k OTD I would be a buyer!

It is the Richfield Bloomington Honda. I asked other Honda Dealers in Twin Cities and all are quoting higher than 23500 for EX-L. I am not sure why the prices in Minneapolis/Twin Cities are $500-600 higher than compared to SC, NC, NJ and NYC.
Going Price for EX-L in Minnesota and Iowa
by zumbro on Wed Apr 09 13:14:14 PDT 2008
I've followed this board for several months and finally decided to make a purchase today. I gave several dealers (17 total in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, plus one in the Chicago area for big city comparison) the opportunity to bid for my business through Honda's online "request a quote" function. This was for a plain EX-L. I informed the dealer's I knew about the dealer incentive ($2000). Here are the list of quotes, all including destination, plus any documentation fee that was identified (no tax or license fees are included, since these will vary by which state you reside in): 26,888 + 185 doc 27,290 + 50 doc 27,194 + 170 doc 27,390 27,489 27,600 27,601 + 50 doc 27,601 + 86.75 doc 28,101 28,201 28,245 28,438 28,263 28,601 28,891 29,845 Two dealers didn't reply. The lowest bid, by far, was Holmes Honda in Des Moines. The Internet sales representative also responded with great efficiency to my e-mails. I would recommend them based upon price and customer service. Due to the 400 mile round trip from my house, I decided to go with one of the other lower bidders. The high quotes were mostly all small town dealers (except for a Madison dealer), so don't bother with them if price is your deciding factor. All Twin Cities dealers came in more than $2000 below invoice, so a fair deal can be had there now, especially with Richfield Bloomington Honda.
