Will this bracket fit in the hole the climate control switch was? I am also thinking of buying the seat-rest dvd players; what do you think of Invision brand and are they hard to install? Thank you, Waldo
DVD System for 2005 T & C Limited
by wjohanson on Thu Jan 10 11:59:56 PST 2008
Hello, I just picked up a 2005 Chrysler T&G Limited. It has all options including sunroof ; except DVD screen. Can I buy a used screen and place where the digital climate control is. Is it pre-wired or will I have to buy a special harness? Thank you, Waldo
Oil Level Check - 3.0L Engine?
by jonathann on Sat Sep 29 15:48:46 PDT 2007
Where's Waldo? I have a 2000 Caravan with 3.0L engine. In its younger years, it never burned a quart of oil between 7500 mile changes. But now, with 120,000 miles, it does need a top up. The problem is I have never been able to determine the oil level on this engine by using the dipstick. I'm not an idiot (don't listen to my wife). I know where the high and low notches are in the dipstick, I just cannot tell where the oil level is. I let the vehicle sit for an extended period, pull the stick, wipe it and re-insert. I pull it out and it has oil all over it, half way up the stick. There are two o-rings at the top end of the stick. I thought this may stop the oil from draining down the tube, so I tried leaving the stick out for an extended time and checking again. Same results, oil all over the stick for about half way up the stick. I know that I should just go down the stick until I find a spot with solid oil on both sides of the stick, but I don't seem to be able to determine this spot. I have had many cars and never had a problem reading the dipstick before. Has anyone else had this problem with their 3.0L engine? If so, what is the solution? Thanks.
'06 accord ex/l 4 cyl 5w30 vs 5w20

was daydreaming in waldo world and got 5 qts 5w30 instead of 5w20, went to the local quicky lube for an oil change. they told me it would void the warranty. as i was already running late i told them to go ahead anyway. are they right about the warranty? i don't believe it can hurt anything mechanically but stand to be corrected. any feedback greatly appreciated. dennis
Re: Have any of you Lucerne Bashers actually really given one a chance? [janeandwaldo]

Jean&waldo Hi there.. glad to hear you like your Lucerne.. I was in the car market just 2 months ago and like others here, I test drove the Lucerne and then the Avalon and I have to tell you in all honesty, it was a tough decision for me but I ended up with the 07 Avalon. and am now happy that I did..I will admit to you that I think the Buick has a "softer" ride. As far as styling goes, I thought they were about the same, but when it came to comparing specs, that's another story.. first of all the avy comes standard with a 268 hp engine.. you have to pay extra to get the 275 hp northstar.. also, I traded in a cadillac with that northstar engine when I bought my avy, and the reason I was trading it in was because that engine gave me alot of trouble. In fact, at the time I traded it in I had to because the cadillac dealership told me I was getting antifreeze in the cylinders and it would cost me about 3 grand or more to fix it. So while I enjoyed the rush of the power the northstar provided, my previous experience with it told me no thanks. Interior wise, no comparison, in my opinion, the avy interior is much nicer. Not to mention the avy gets superior gas mileage..and theres that Toyota reputation for dependibility that GM products just don't share yet. Just my thoughts on the subject.. good luck with your buick though.. hope you have years of good service from it. Roland
